"We found this restaurant by accident were really glad we did. It's just off the main road but once inside you feel as if you're in the middle of nowhere. Went on a Monday night it was really busy predominantly Italian clientele but a couple of Americans there also with Italian diners. However it was not noisy staff were attentive The pasta was divine so was the fillet steak (15 euros). They didn't ask how we wanted it cooking but brought it medium rare perfect for us but if you like your steak better cooked you may need to advise them. House wine was very good only 3.5 euros for a half litre. Finished with vin santo home made cantucci biscuits. It was excellent value a place we'd return to on our next trip to Lucca. We had a car but it is not too far (about 6 kilometres) from walled city if you need a taxi. They also have accommodation but we were staying at a hotel (Grand Hotel Guinigi) so unable to comment on accommodation. It's well worth a visit for the restaurant!!!"

A well-kept environment, clean and soft atmosphere also for lunch. The courses are a perfect combination of tradition, innovation and goodness. Wide choice of wines and excellent value for money. Recommended!

good cuisine - wide choice. we sit comfortably and well served. It is rather a place for families or groups with lots of lounges and seats. We eat well. it is worth to taste the risotto straciatella which is a typical dish. The cod is also worth the trip. Good address.

Restaurant suggested by a nearby bar, attracted by the suggestion we immediately booked, I must say that it is a 5-star restaurant for elegance and quality, but at the same time it seems to be family for the warmth that the place and the staff give. We decided to take a spectacular meat turtle, then go on a spectacular piglet and a calf cheek. Everything delicious View menu

A restaurant truly managed with love and passion by the Stefani family. The chef Gian Marco takes care of the dishes and the menu is always updated with the first fruits of the season. Comfortable and elegant environment suitable for both a ceremony, a romantic dinner or a pizza between friends and/or colleagues (I recommend to taste also pizza). Great value for money! I have been here a number of times now and last night we had a party of about 17. Service and food fantastic. Very friendly welcoming staff. We love the waiter we seem to get each time. We really indulged in the menu and no one expressed disappointment. Because this place is so special and great value for money we keep going back each year. I didn't pay the bill so can not accurately comment on value but the person was more than happy. We had a fabulous night View menu

Great experience. Great cuisine, excellent value for money, great customer care, spacious and elegant environment that gives every table its own privacy and intimacy... Only peach, if I have to find one: in the appetizer I found 2 croutons with mushrooms... I told the waiter they weren't welcome as asked at the time of order... He took them away and I would expect to replace them with other croutons but instead nothing the rest of the dinner repaired this initial defaiance.

Great place set in a beautiful setting. The interior is cozy and well-kept: an old jukebox impettito da ventoggio di se as if it were the protagonist of the room. Careful and kind staff, just sitting at the table with our Saphira (golden retriever) immediately brought us water for her in a saucepan of recyclable material. As for the food we started from an appetizer of the chef based on pumpkin and goat cheese really good, then passing to Lucca macaroni with fresh porcini mushrooms and pappardelle with delicious wild boar, finishing with a sweet made of dark chocolate and crispy salted simply unforgettable. Strong and sincere wine like locals. Price more than honest. Ultimately, if you pass...
