"The place is in a good position, in Chianalea, almost in front of the port of Scilla. If it was overlooking the sea it would be a dream location. What loses in the panorama earns it with a refined cuisine with fishery products, exclusively local. The kitchen is governed by the mother of the Di Russo brothers, who manage the room with a dozen tables, with a place of pleasant appearance. The lunch was opened with a good mixed starter raw and cooked; it continued with linguine to the rock and risotto to the seafood and a good fry of squid and shrimp; the conclusion was a lemon sorbet and a classic Pizzo truffle. All accompanied by a glass of red, of good production calabra. The service, despite the father's party with full club, was quick. Excellent as always the welcome."

We had dinner here in 5 to August 2023. When booking it was not specified that there would be “turns” to dine. Therefore our turn, 20.30/22.00 is finished at 22.00 without even asking if we like a sweet / bitter / coffee. The purpose was to free the table without too many conventions. Food on average, I ate better elsewhere at a lower price. The price can be justified by the point area, but I don't feel like recommending it.

Do not have high expectations. I do not disagree with prices as I am in line with the clearly non-economic zone. But the point is the quality/price ratio. The food was not extraordinary, the choice wanders. Unexplained shift reservation, time of 1 hour and a half to be able to dine. We baked 5 minutes so we were not asked if we were interested in sweets/amari. Cortesia this unknown even in the ways before we were late for the famous 5 minutes.

"Went to this resturant without having read any reviews, which had we read any there would have been a good possibility that would have chosen to go there. However our experience could not be further from those of the previous reviewers. We were a party of ten when we arrived the resturant was empty except for one table, for an inexplicable reason we were shown upstairs to an equally empty room. We made our orders and then we heard a lot of noise coming from downstairs. The anti-pasti arrived which in fairness I must say was fine. Then the main courses arrived, one of which was wrong and two other dishes were still to arrive, which meant three of our party were without dishes. However the vegetables ordered to accompany the missing dishes did arrive. One of the missing dishes was for steak and when it arrived, it was hardly warm and it was rejected and after about 20 minutes it was eventually replaced with a steak of exactly the same temperature, this was not eaten. When the waiter was challenged about this, from our limited understanding of Italian, he said that in the south of Italy the meat is not very good. If this was case why on earth would they put steak on the menu. The other two missing dishes were for fillet of fish in a lemon sauce, which arrived over 15 minutes later than the rest of food, why it took so long was a mystery. We decided to finish our meal and went down stairs to pay our bill, only to find that the majority of the tables were now full, with local male diners who we're watch the football on the TV. I was left with the distinct impression that we foreigners we seated out of the way and it was a case of out of sight out of mind"
