Au P'tit Zinc - Menu

I have been eating a steak. It was very good and the service were kindly and friendly. The price was OK for what I got.

I had lunch with my two sons (4y and 9y). Our conclusion was simple... lovely staff... wonderful food... super kids friendly!

Service, location, food quality and price all come together here. After the haut cuisine of other restaurants, I needed some bistro fare. I had lunch and dinner here twice each while in Paris on business. Steaks, seafood, sandwich and salad on different occasions. House wine was fine. Prices were reasonable.

Here you can find truly parisian athmosphere, there are a lot of locals which makes the ambiance even greater. I love the decor, it's modern and parisian. It's very cosy. As we arrived we got rillette/pâté as a lovely appetizer- To die for. Miam Miam as the French say.The portions are good sizes and the food lovely. What's not to like. The service was friendly and the waiter had a lot of humour. I would definately return with my friends again.Thank you for a lovely evening.

Le restaurant est sympathique, dans la lignée du bistrot-resto parisien convivial. Pour ce qui est plats, ils sont, dans l'ensemble, à peu près tous faits maison et c'est appréciable mais ce n'est pas de la grande cuisine et ça reste très cher. 6 euros les oeufs avec une mayonnaise industrielle c'est trop surtout quand on annonce qu'on fait tout maison. Une cuisse de poulet sans sauce avec des frites certes maison (en même temps il n'y a rien de compliqué , je vois pas en quoi c'est succulent surtout à 18 euros le plat. Je conçois que vu la taille de la cuisine, il faut pas s'attendre à des merveilles mais désolé c'est trop cher par rapport à ce qui est servi.

My girlfriend and I decided to explore our neighborhood where we were staying in the 14th arrondisment without getting reservations at any restaurants. We happened upon Au P'tit Zinc and had an amazing meal. Neither the waiter nor the owner spoke any English but that didn't hurt the experience. The waiter had a smile on his face the whole time making us feel very welcome. We couldn't read anything on the menu but recognized au poivre steak and both ordered it. It was incredible along with the wine and the desert. The waiter even gave us a free desert and took our picture for us. I would recommend anyone looking for a great meal and friendly Parisian people go to Au P'tit Zinc!!!

Au P'tit Zinc is in the 14th arrondisment right on Maine. It is a nice modern version of a classic Bistrot. The owner/host is right there to great you and advise you though his english is a bit limited (as is our french). The main dishes were actually quite nice. Lamb should was done very nicely and the steak was done properly and tasted quite good. The starters were a bit of a disappointment and perhaps that was my over expectations. I had ordered ouef mayonnaise which turned out to be a green salad with a couple of hard boiled eggs. I had seen it elsewhere and it was actually deviled egg which is what I would have liked. THe escargot were also a bit thin on flavor. I like a pronounced tast...
