"If half stars could be awarded I would have rated this at three and a half but, out of fairness, have increased this to four. Meneham in Brittany is a lovely part of the country and well worth visiting. Unfortunately this is the only restaurant in the immediate area and the lack of competition shows. The restaurant was clean, the background music was low key and appropriate and the décor was also quite acceptable. We visited out of season (early October) so perhaps the restaurant was not seen at its best. The staff were sometimes helpful and sometimes disinterested and service was slow (even with only 4-5 tables occupied). We found the menu to be quite good although limited in range of choices. Cheapest main course was a baked potato with toppings and a salad at 14.50 Euro. Other main courses ranged from 17-28 Euro. The food tasted good but was warm, rather than hot. Finally, although this is a popular area for tourists from UK, Germany and Netherlands, the menu was only available in French and the waiter/waitress was unable to provide any translation. We would certainly recommend Meneham but suggest that visitors might want to find somewhere else to eat."

One of our best meals in france. Local fish and cider, good kids options (beyond the nuggets etc). Reasonable value for money.

They were busy with a large group for lunch and we only wanted coffee and a snack, but they were very accommodating, particularly friendly and welcoming. We were made to feel very welcome, quick service amend the coffee and crepe were delicious!

Not only is the site really cool and artsy with its little showrooms nearby, but we really enjoyed the fresh fresh fresh mussels and fries. I chose the curry ones and they were to die for. The waitress (too kind) mentioned the Chef had brought back the curry from India himself...Great place to stop and grab a bite. Lovely setting. Very laid back and fun!

Very relaxed lunch surrounded by locals! We'd recommend for lunch if you aren't concerned about budget. Glass of cola 3€! We had three drinks, two adult lunches, a kids lunch, one dessert to share (which was delicious!), coffees and a kids ice cream cost 90€.My ham and cheese galette (black wheat pancake) was a bit too rich and I should have gone for the butchers selection like my husband.

At this time we had lunch with different styles of cooking mussels . I decided try with curry, it was yellow. So, it was fresh and cooked well mussels and with dry!!! curry spice on the top, like tree-four table spoons (it was too much), and didn't even mix and cooked together. And I would love ask Chef, who cooked it, did you try eat cooked mussels with dry spices when you can feel curry powder in your mouth?! It should mixed and cooked together before service. I was disappointed with this dish...But my friends didn't have kind of experiment, they was more lucky then me. Thank you for attention.

On holiday from UK in a Gite in Kerlouin in August and hit a week of low cloud and lightning storms. Was our first holiday with grandson (19 months) and were looking for a memorable meal to cheer us up. We'd not booked (if you're thinking of going best to book) but we timed our arrival just as a family were leaving and got there 1 minute before another family. Meal was great and fun. For the starter salad they'd cut up a crepe to make it look like salad leaves. Main was melt in the mouth ham in a flavour full sauce. Moules were rated highly as well. Lots of kiddies there - but it was school holiday time - which was great for us with a lively 19 month old. All in all made for a great memory

This is the third time I've visited this restaurant. The young servers were nice each time I visited... But the drinks and some if the food pricing is terrible. I've eaten a fish dish which was very tasty but on the expensive side. The second time a sweet crepe which I'm sure was only reheated and a bit soggy. (I've eaten in a huge amount of crêperies in Brittany.) The price was correct. The third time was just for afternoon refreshments. €3.10 for a small glass of coke or a diabolo!!! What I feel is wrong about this price is that it wasn't even a full can or bottle per person for this price, but, a smallish glass only three quarters full poured from a big bottle of flat coke. The setting an...

I have never given a really poor review before and this is not a review of the food or the location; it's a review of the service (or more precisely the absence of service). We had booked for 7:30 and arrived spot on time. Shown to our table and given menus. There were 2 other tables occupied at the time. Then: nothing happened! After about 10 minutes a large (probably local) party arrived, were fussed over and had drinks within a few minutes. We still sat there, no-one coming to ask for an aperitif order, let alone for our food order. Nobody made eye contact and the staff who ventured into our vicinity seemed to be avoiding and totally ignoring us. (We are not the sort of people you'd cross...

"Very nice welcome. The coffee and restaurant have been completely renovated. It's pretty, clear, practical. Boss, come and shake hands and welcome us. He explains, the concept, where things are. Plate, plate to choose our entries for you... fresh rosé grapefruit, red cabbage, cream cucumber, tomatoes, cabbage steamed flowers, tomatoes, homemade grated carrots, céleri remoulade, homemade paste, extra ham, corn, pickles...... Hot dishes, roasted pork with cream, or kebab meat, otherwise possibility of steak, or slice of ham that is warmed on a grill available in 30 seconds. Accompaniment, there are everything, green vegetables, pasta, rice, hot fries all the time....two sauces to choose, mustard to old, or pepper. In a transparent fridge you can choose your desserts, homemade pies, caramel cream with salted butter, floating island, yogurts and other lacted desserts, cheeses there.Makes of sheep cheese for people like me, intolerant to lactose, chocolate pears, there are also soy yoghurts for the intolerant to lactose. In a transparent freezer there is a good choice of ice. You can eat good and simple, in a nice setting, for 12,50 euros per meal. Red wine, lemonade, water at will. Recommended reservation because the room is not very large. But the boss is very reactive and organized and everything goes well. Coffee. The restaurant also offers sandwiches at all times, you even compose your sandwich with a choice of products preserved in a fridge, over transparent, more useful and convenient."
