"We chose this restaurant for a Sunday game on a recommendation from a friend. It was a 30-minute drive from our city near Lausanne to the hamlet of Mollens in the Waadt landscape. The entrance is discreet, but the mood changes as soon as we enter the wood-panelled dining room with a mixture of traditional and abstract paintings on the wall. Céline, the lady of the house, gave us a warm welcome and helped us select our white and red wines. We chose a glass of Pouilly Fusé and it went well with our Foie Gras Starter. I also enjoyed the sweet in-house baked Brioche slices served with the foie grass. The red wine Sant Emilion Fleur Cardinale was coarse enough for our rack of the venison main teaching. This dish again delivered us a variety of tastes and textures from sweet pear slices to caramel chestnuts. The venison meat slices were with a sauce that easily masks the taste of the game. For Dessert, we have selected orange slices that are broken into liqueur – just after a heavy meal. Despite a complete house we found the service excellent – always available without having to ask for something. Our only advice is to make a booking in advance, as this is a popular place for wild game."
