Baan Thai - Menu

Good quality food and very tasty. Staff were friendly and welcoming. A shame there was no dessert menu. Would be happy to recommend.

Went there yesterday after a long while. It was just as good as it used to be. Enjoyed the food and the staff were lovely. Will go again soon.

Recently moved to the area and love a Thai meal so thought I would try here; I was not disappointed! The starter and main were both delicious! Recommend the Paneang curry! Diandra was lovely and went out of her way to look after us. I will definitely be coming back! :

Always liked Baan Thai but its standards have slipped over resent couple of years, went a few weeks ago waiter brought wrong order and insisted it was our fault. That much grease on floor under table you had to be careful when standing so as not to fall over. Been many, many times but no more.

We have been going to the ban thai for 20 years. Last time we went when we could last year we thought the food was not up to the normal standard. We thought we would give it another chance tonight. The chablis was not available so we ordered a pinot. It was warm when we asked for a cold bottle of wine we were told the fridge had just been stocked up. Will not be going back View menu

Last night we went to Baan Thai a restaurant we have been numerous time previously but sadly this will be the last as the service and food was so poor we won’t be be back. The restaurant was very cold to the point where guests were sitting in coats and the starters were brought out on cold plates and was only lukewarm. I made the staff aware of this and was told they were sorry. The main course then took a further hour to arrive, baring in mind the restaurant was only half full, and was again served on cold plates and was like warm again. Having gone for many years and been highly delighted we were highly disappointed from the start. Arrived for our booking to be told we have only 3 starters and no curries. That changed to we do have curry now however no prawns ordered sea bass came back no sea bass ordered steak in chill sauce a pathetic piece of steak arrived on a plate no garnish no chilli sauce rice order was wrong informed should be ginger and garlic and it was represented with shaving of ginger plonked on the top. Not a good experience this evening, we have been several times and could never find fault, that was until this evening. We were shown to our table and handed very old and tired grubby menus, we ordered drinks and chose what we wanted. Starters were served and out of 4, 1 of them could be described as hot we pointed this to our server who said they would pass it in to the chef. We then waited over a hour before hot plates were brought to our table, then it must of been 10 minutes our mains were brought to the table on cold plates and again food not hot.
