"Was in France for a week for business. Arrived for dinner with my wife, only a large table of people in the restaurant. My wife has basic fluency in French, but in our experience in France was speak fluently or do not try at all...(this is contra to our experiences across the world, so it must be a French thing). Our waiter was not French, but spoke it well. He voluntarily handed me an English menu without asking (which I thought was strange). Long story short I pointed to what I wanted and repeated the number (green curry with chicken). While we waited for our food to arrive they had this industrial noise going on for about minutes (like some large vacuum). So much for ambiance. Our food arrived, and while it appeared very attractive, it was not what I ordered (I ordered and pointed to the chicken curry, I got some other strange dish). Important to note he spoke English. I asked him if this was perhaps someone else's dish since I ordered the curry? He immediately turned hostile and told me, no, that is what you ordered. Instead of trying to solve the situation he became increasingly hostile and told me that I had ordered the food I had not (it was his error, and must have mixed our order with someone else). Do not know if he hated English speaking people, but this was clearly someone with a chip on their shoulder. He took the dish away, I received my curry shortly thereafter (which makes sense that he had delivered the wrong dish). We never saw him again and had to ask someone else for our bill. If you are English, you may want to think twice. The food was good though."

Worth the price. I lived years in Asia, I can say this is the real deal. Can't wait to go back! Note: booking in advance highly recommended...

Starter of Chicken Satay was average. Main Prawn dish was very good but the Lamb Massaman was excellent, best ever. House wine lovely. Waiter was very helpful and good English. Thought it a bit expensive compared to other Thai restaurants in England but hey we...were in France. Would visit again when next in Lyon.

this restaurant is not located in the smartest opposite of lyon, but go there because the service and the eating are both excellent. we had satay and early roll, followed by stir fry huhn and lambmuschelman curry, with jasmin rice and veg all cooked perfect....We arrived when they open and pretty soon it was full, so they need to book when they go later or they need more than s table for

A very nice place in the foothill of Croix Rousse bordering with the Opera at the center of Lyon. Food was excellent, very balanced, not too hot and very fragrant. Service was very friendly and very prompt. The assortment of fried rolls was exquisite, the...chicken soup mouth watering, as was the beef salad with amazing thai basil and spicy as it should be. The pork with ginger super delicious. With one and a half carafe of house wine and two espressos euros!

the place in the very early hours had almost no one, but the service was bad as if all sit table. When I arrived there, there was almost no one, but I have to wait for my silly. more than half an hour. once I decided to remember the personal that I still waited for the other court, he saw me unmanned with the harassed face, not to mention when I asked about the bill and he was not to serve with the kind and nice wise. the personal was thai and I am also thai. I literally wondered why the personal was not even friendly to his own fellow citizen.

I had a great experience at Bangkok as a solo traveler. I did not have a reservation but was seated with no problem. After I arrived about the restaurant filled up with groups and families. I was able to order the Massaman curry at...the level of heat I preferred. It is typically prepared with two stars but I requested (and got) one star heat. It was delicious great flavor, very tender, and only two small fatty pieces in the very large serving. Warning the curry does not come with rice as it does in the US you have to order it separately. I didn't realize this and was surprised when they didn't bring rice but I then asked for it and they brought it right away.

"My wife and I dined here on a Saturday night (having made a reservation several days in advance), and it was one of the best dining experiences we have had in France in a long time. We reserved for the early seating, showed up on time, and were among the first customers there. We had a small table near the door. The disadvantage is that we were occasionally wafted by a cold draft from the front door. The bigger advantage was that we were sitting near the restaurant's beautiful, precision, hand-operated meat slicer. The specialty starter is beef that has been cured for seven months with seven spices. It is sliced paper thin (and that is no exaggeration) and served heaped on a plate. Heavenly. My wife and I ordered only one of these plates and it was more than ample for the two of us.That was followed by our starters. I ordered the minestrone marocain légèrement épicé comme à Tanger (Moroccan minestrone, lightly spiced as in Tangiers), and my wife the rillettes de crabe aux petits légumes et Granny Smith (shredded crab with little vegetables and pieces of Granny Smith apple). Both were delicious. For our main dishes I had a pavé de cerf (deer steak), which was ample and perfectly cooked. My wife had fish, also cooked to perfection. I don't recall the wine we ordered, but the choice was from wines that were at their peak (not just wines one or two years old), yet the prices were reasonable. One remark about the decore: it manages to be a bit traditional and modern at the same time, with reproductions of paintings by Modigliani and various early 20th-century (mainly French) artists adorning the wall.Overall, a restaurant worth going out of your way for."
