Really nice food to eat in or take out. Super friendly staff too. You take your own alcohol which is different but means you always get exactly what you want to drink!

We ate here with friends. The sharing platter starter was delicious. We each had a Balti dish and it was by far the best we’ve ever had. Friendly attentive staff, great service. We will definitely be back soon!

I ordered a vegetable korma but found chicken in it. I have a meat allergy and informed Daawat about the mistake. All he said was that he would speak to the kitchen. This isn't the issue; I am now anticipating a night of feeling unwell. Thanks. View menu

The order was late cold and incorrect when it arrived, the manager who spoke on the phone was a complete idiot and who needs to learn some manners and not be so rude or impolite, would I visit again not on anybodies life who ever reads this review,

Food was brilliant as always, the staff were very friendly and accommodating about splitting the bill and seating arrangements etc. Service was spot on as was the whole COVID 19 arrangement. Very happy with the whole thing in general of of the best Indian restaurants around for sure (I’ve been to about 150)

Nice restaurant, very good authentic food, generous portions, pleasant staff with the bonus of taking your own drinks makes it a very affordable night out, only thing they could have done better was to get some decent heating, it was very cold and my wife kept her coat on all evening, the little fan heater was a waste of time but overall a good night out. Probably the best Indian food I have ever eaten, every single part of every single dish was perfect. The pakoras were just little golden clouds of heaven and would have been worth the visit on their own. My daughter had a lamb sizzler which was delicious with perfectly cooked pieces of tender lamb, I had Lajawab which although hot and spicy had a wonderful depth of flavour. The restaurant does not serve alcohol which was fine by us as we don't drink. In future I will stick to the usual soft drinks as the mocktails we had were very pretty, but both tasted of lollipops and not much else.

In this review, I am willing to overlook the late delivery due to Covid restrictions, even though it was 45 minutes late. The driver apologized for the delay and the food arrived hot. However, I was very disappointed with the quality. The naan bread was burnt, my lamb dish only had 6 small pieces of meat, and it was very oily. The rice was decent (it's hard to mess up rice!), and my companion said their chicken dish was alright. Overall, for almost £30, we did not feel like we got our money's worth and would not return. We believe there are other restaurants that offer better flavor and better value for money.

If you like Indian food, you’ll not go wrong going here. It’s not licensed, but you can take your own or nip to the co-op next door for no extra corkage. We shared a meat platter starter, (the tandoori chicken and lamb kofta were the stars, the lamb sizzler was perfect and brought to the table sizzling away. (I love theatrics). We also shared the chicken tikka masala and had the pretty pilau rice. The garlic naan is a must have, so big that it’s perfect for sharing. The table service was just right and the staff very friendly and helpful. We scoffed the lot and had no room for sweets but the mocktails went down well instead.
