"What a great find. Welcoming atmosphere, good food and beer. It 's really unusual to find some where that will go the extra but we were completely delighted here. It was a sunny Tuesday night and we asked at the bar if we could eat outside, no problem came the reply. So ordering our food at the bar and being a pair of idiots changing our minds once we had seen the specials board, amazingly the barman got our order correct (no thanks to us). A very pleasant atmosphere and a good pint to boot. We took a table out in the pleasant beer garden and waited eagerly for our food. It took a little while to arrive, due to the timing and being behind a party of 15 people, the staff came over a couple of time to apologise for the delay and explain the situation. My friend decided that he would like a cigar and went to the bar to enquire if they sold them. The owner of the establishment was sat in the bar and said they didn 't sell cigars but had some of his own personal ones and gave my friend a complimentary Wilde cigar saying that he would enjoy it. Just a small thing but a very nice gesture I thought. We both had surf 'n ' turf rib eye with prawns, beer battered onion rings, mushrooms, grilled tomato, salad and chips. Both were well cooked and very tasty, good value too at £16. I would give this place a hearty recommend if you like a relaxed atmosphere, good food and value for money. I will be going back again, next time I will probably take the family too"

We had an amazing meal, fantastic drinks, and excellent service at The Bingley Arms last night. The server even gave us a rundown of the history of this oldest pub in England. We highly recommend it!

wonderful atmosphere with great food. we made a special trip to this pub, because it is the oldest in england. it didn't disappoint! the personal even went out to show us all historical features. priest holes, tunnels. clean and kovid safe, we recommend a stop.

really nice pub in the village. the staff is friendly and the beer garden is great. the food was really nice and enjoyed. the steak and ale pee was such a big part, was filled! it was very nice. they don't publish it well, but the pub is dog friendly in the tape room (left door) and beer garden.

supervisit today (boxing day). we (a large group of adults and children) have turned up without booking. the staff could not have come up and placed us on the veranda on the back. heat lamps have been switched on immediately, keep us comfortable and warm after a very muddy and cool walk. many thanks to all, we will definitely be back!

We had an amazing meal at Bingley Arms that was both delicious and affordable. The wait staff was friendly, funny, and welcoming, offering helpful menu suggestions and sharing the pub's fascinating history with us. Some of our group even got to go on a tour. We highly recommend this pub and plan to return if we are in the Yorkshire area again.

A nice historic pub, good service but the food is well overpriced. Club sandwich was £8.50! You do get a few chips but only a few so it is too expensive but fairly tasty. Natchos were poor. Tasteless beef, bland cheese and soggy natchos. Ploughmans were again half decent but expensive. I liked the place but don't know how they can charge the prices they do. If it wasn't so expensive, I would go back but just can't justify it when so many equally good places are 25 percent cheaper.

Last night, a group of four of us enjoyed drinks and dinner at the Bingley Arms. We received excellent service from the staff and had a fantastic meal. I ordered the steak pie, which was exceptional, along with a Yorkshire pudding, delicious chips, and tasty vegetables. We were also treated to a fascinating tour of the historic 953AD location, which really brought the place to life. Thank you for a wonderful dinner. We will definitely be returning. P.S. The rest of the group loved their salmon and gnocchi dishes. The desserts were also outstanding.

One of the many, many places that lays claim to being Britain's oldest pub, the Bingley Arms probably isn't (the claim that it's 1000 years old is a tad misleading) but it's still fairly old, and it's one of those places where you can really feel the history. With lovely beamed ceilings, ancient stone walls and plenty of nooks and crannies we ate in the arch of an old fireplace the Bingley Arms has a fantastic atmosphere, and I was surprised that I hadn't known of it before my boyfriend suggested a trip. Unlike many of the older, more rural pubs around Leeds, the Bingley has thankfully refrained from straying too far into gastropub territory, and while they obviously pride themselves on thei...

"My son expressed his desire for a restaurant that wasn't too fancy or too casual. It's always a challenge to gather grown-up sons for celebrations when they are spread out, especially when you're unfamiliar with the restaurants in Leeds. After scrolling for hours and exchanging options, we finally settled on Gallery 41, which happened to have a 20% off deal on all food for certain days in November - perfect for N's birthday. After a long journey and a chilly afternoon at Kirkstall Abbey, we were ready to eat, and boy, did we eat well. The olives were a hit with my sons and husband, while the garlic bread was described as some of the best they'd ever had. The Skin Fries were a crowd favorite, so much so that we almost fought over the last ones. The main dishes were equally impressive, with the meat eaters raving about the Spiced Pepperoni and the Vegetarian option wowing my husband. I couldn't resist the Florentina pizza, a personal favorite of mine. Dessert was a hit as well, with everyone indulging in their sweet tooth. The atmosphere at Gallery 41 was perfect for our family gathering - quiet, cozy, and conducive to good conversation. The staff were attentive and friendly, adding to the overall positive experience. I look forward to returning with the rest of my family and indulging in more of Gallery 41's delicious offerings. In the end, it's the simple things like family, good food, and quality time together that truly matter. Thank you, Gallery 41, for a wonderful dining experience."
