"such a wonderful surprise we stopped by having seen a couple of seasonal mushroom dishes and flammkuche on the menu. We were not disappointed. We ordered the mushroom soup and the potato soup, both of which were excellent. Very hot, clearly home-made (in contrast...to some terrible oversalted soups you sometimes get, which make me think of cup-a-soups). My soup had delicious mushrooms, and was served with fresh cream and chives. We then shared a mushroom flammkuchen, which was amazing paper thin, crispy dough and very delicious toppings, but perhaps the biggest surprise was the side salad. We ordered it go get a bit of vegetables in, and were incredibly surprised to find that we had three salads underneath the greens all very very tasty: a bit of German potato salad and marinated cabbage and carrots. Very simple but without a doubt one of the best salads I've ever had. We finished with tea/coffee and a piece of raspberry yogurt cake. All very good and with other drinks (sparkling water and water/apple juice drink popular in Germany) the total came to under EUR Service was relaxed and friendly."

Very busy place just at the water's edge at Lake Titisee. Specializing in cakes that are typical of the region, especially Black Forest gateau, berry and apple tarts and cheesecakes. A relaxing pitstop in the heart of the hustle and bustle of this touristic region.

ok eat price high service friendly. that's all. the local special soup (patato soup, with sausage) was good, quite expensive and especially a very small part. the coffee was big, expensive and ok. I had to choose this place because he was the only one where I could park my motocycle.

Had my first meal in the Titisee-Neustadt region at this place. Titisee is strangely touristy and this restaurant is situated allong what feels like a main street The food is good and the staff is very friendly and speaks good English if that is of...concern. The only drawback might be that it felt a little pricy, but on the other hand this is that type of neighborhood and if that is of no concern give it a go. Of course I think it is worht the while anyway so at least check it out...

Having a break at Titisee, we did choose to visit at least a restaurant over there. We did not know that Titisee is very popular and Touristic. It means a lot of souvenir shops, and a lot of fast-foods. It does seem difficult to find...a gastronomic restaurant here... We did choose Bistro zum See as the menu does not seem flooded with fried potatoes. Hosts are sympathic, friendly and smily. We did choose Schnitzel with asparagus and sauce hollandaise and not fried potatoes, sparkling water, pieces of cake (Schwarzwald one) and cappuccinos. Total price : more than fifty euros. The taste was ok, for the main course as for the cake. Nothing super yummy. I would say that regarding the quality th...

"We were booked in May 2023 for 2 nights in 2 double rooms. I was present for one night. The “wellness hotel” declared by HRS was quite old and did not have an open indoor swimming pool and the day before our arrival we found out at short notice that the restaurant was also closed. We deliberately chose the hotel because of its own restaurant... The telephone availability was catastrophic, the owner justified this by saying that guests would often call for weather information from Tititsee. The owner, Mr. Franz, also assured me over the phone that they would accommodate the costs of my two dogs due to the inconvenience of the restaurant being closed. Since I was still of the old school when it came to the spoken word, I trusted his words and didn't take them in writing. When we left, however, the receptionist denied him that he wasn't in the house, but I had already seen him at breakfast. The lady at the reception told me that the boss had changed his mind and that there was no concession regarding the costs for 2 dogs. Cowardly act by an dishonest hotelier. I have never experienced anything like it. I travel privately and for business at least 180 days a year! So I paid 30.00 euros for one night in this flophouse for 2 small dogs. In comparison, the 5 star Hotel Roomers in Baden-Baden charges 29 euros for the 2 Yorkshire Terriers. The selection at breakfast is positive. The cleanliness in the room left something to be desired, there were black hairs in the freshly made bed. There was a used, probably unwashed blanket full of hair for the dogs. Conclusion: ONCE and NEVER again Rooms: If you don't value cleanliness, this is the place for you. Nearby activities: The thermal baths are in the immediate vicinity Walkability: Central location in Titisee"

"For years we have been making a carnival holiday in Hinterzarten and until last year we have always been home guests in the Schwarzwaldhof; details about the hotel and the restaurant I am saving at this point, that can be all on the Internet under [here link] also the menu. Especially at the carnival time (or even at Christmas) there is a lot of going on in hints and in most restaurants you have to get really luck without booking; this applies both at lunchtime and in the evening. Individuals or couples may have luck; Groups are odd. We ate the peasant vesper plate at the peasant stable of the Schwarzwaldhof in the afternoon; as they already know and at the price of just EUR 7.00, this plate is already almost unbeatable. Two slices of coarse liver and bloodworm, each two slices of swarms, bacon and black forests of hamspeck, onion rings, cucumbers and dark peasant bread. Tastes really very good and is saturating until evening when you brush the plate completely. Here the price/performance ratio is really very harmonious; for all dishes, especially from the lunch or evening ticket, this does not apply in the Schwarzwaldhof. And for me a little manko on the edge: there is no red house but Fürstenberg! The ambience in the peasant stüble is extremely rustic and somewhat antiqued in the other restaurant rooms. The rooms are okay; above all we liked the tower room with skybed very well! Our serviceman in the Stüble was, first of all, talkable, and straight to a Lexicon on two legs; for hours, I wouldn't have carried him, good friend back or back!"
