"I selected Bizzarro on spec as being near Paddington station since I was meeting 6 friends, from Wales, Exeter, Norwich, Hertfordshire and Berkshire. It was a great choice busy but not fussy. Good Italian food which suited us all and a really pleasant atmosphere. As elderly women we were treated with kindness and courtesy but no sense of condescension.. we would all be more than happy for a repeat performance. The little complementary tipple finished it perfectly! Thank you, Jose."

Amazing authentic Italian restaurant. I had the slow cooked lamb which fell off the bone, was so soft and delicious. Staff were friendly and attentive. The place was buzzing at lunchtime which is a great sign! The coffee I had was also lovely. Would HIGHLY recommend, delicious

Came across this restaurant when visiting London for a few days. Called in for lunch and we’re made to feel very welcome. My husband and grandson had pizza but I tried the pesce spade on the specials menu. It. Was delicious and I haven’t had such good swordfish since I last visited Italy. Will certainly return on our next trip to London

When we first arrived the restaurant was full and, to my mind, unbearably noisy but by 7.00 it was much quieter and we enjoyed our meal. The food was good, the service a little chaotic and the staff friendly. From my point of view it seemed a bit expensive and the portions were too big. Smaller and cheaper portions would have suited us better. It's very convenient for Paddington station. View menu

Very, very busy after 7 pm, but there is quick turnover of tables. You are never felt rushed to leave, though. Waiters are fun and easy going, even though they are really busy. We usually try and go here for dinner at least once on our trips to the UK. Very extensive menu. This time we had Gorgonzola, Carbonaro, Gnoochi and Fettuccine. All of it was very good. The desserts are fantastic.

As a local for 25 years I have to hang my head in shame for walking past this restaurant almost every week without giving it a second thought. I just assumed it was another tourist trap. How wrong I was. This restaurant is an institution, up there with Halepi, and has excellent food, great service, a wonderful atmosphere at incredibly reasonable prices. The first but not the last time we'll be visiting Bizzarro.

"The decor of the restaurant is really lovely. We were greeted as soon as we arrived. We placed our orders quite briskly. We received complimentary bread and olives, which was a nice touch. Our Bruchetta starter arrived a whole hour after we arrived, which was disappointing and far too long to wait for a cold and easy starter. The menu did not specify that the prawns on one of the bruschettas were raw! The waiter said service was slow because they were busy with Uber Eats and Deliveroo. Clearly not prioritising paying customers, who pay a 12.5% service charge, unlike online customers. Eventually, our main courses arrived. My pasta was only just cooked, so close to being undercooked and hard. They ran out of ricotta and replaced it with the tiniest amount of cheese so I asked for some more. Since ricotta was supposed to be the main ingredient of the dish. The tuna steak was lovely, and the veal could have done with a thinner breadcrumb batter. The sides, chips and zucchini, were £4.50 and very small portions for such a cheap side. So that was slightly disappointing. Overall, the pinot grigio white wine was very drinkable, and they brought tap water when we asked for it. And the whole staff were very polite. It was a shame the service was so slow, and the food could have been better for the price that it was. We also felt it was overpriced for the location it was, zone 2 London and not in the West End."
