Fantasticl authentic pub located on Chorleywood conmin. Great atmosphere with excellent staff. Extensove pub food that is tasty. Covered outside area and little sheds to drink or dine in.

Went to Motown night at the pub with friends, it was packed and had a great atmosphere. We had a few drinks, snacks and sang and danced the night away...well done Black Horse! More please!

Booked an early table to beat the nice weather crowds. Best Sunday lunch we’ve had in absolute yonks. Wouldn’t say it was cheap but still well worth the extra few quid for the quality. Lots of veggie and pescatarian options. Dog friendly and very hospitable welcome.

Very accommodating and allowed us to move to a more suitable table. Everyone enjoyed their food immensely and there is a good choice of gluten free options. I opted for the fish and chips, large portion and most enjoyable...it's a shame it arrived 15 minutes after everyone else's food.

Very nice pub. Plenty sits outside and in the booths. Nice decor inside. Food, unfortunately, disappointing. Chicken, bacon, and avocado salad felt very cheap. Green leaf salad from packet, cold tasteless boiled chicken breast, that with mustard dressing. Bacon was tasty but also cold. The chips were very nice. Great idea to have Yorkshire pudding wraps, however again very little seasoned. Chicken burger was dry and bun cold. Nice selections of beers. Toilets very narrow. What’s happened? Used to be an amazing pub with great service and fabulous food. However, upon our visit on Saturday the service was shocking from start to finish, (young lady with brown hair was trying her best). The most rubbery calamari and worst fish and chips ive ever had, lots of frozen food being heated up I predict. Pork belly was 80% fat, missed off half our drinks as simply were too unorganised to realise. Sat in one of the outdoor pods, but we were just forgotten. Will not be returning and do not recommend anyone to go unless these issues are addressed.

The food at this restaurant was delicious, but unfortunately, the service was extremely disappointing. We placed two large orders for our table, but each order was missing one item. Despite repeatedly asking the staff for the missing items, we were ignored. While everyone else at the table finished their meals, two people were still waiting for their food. We continuously asked for the missing items as the staff kept cleaning our table, but they kept assuring us that the food was on its way. After waiting for 50 minutes, we had to seek out the manager who informed us that the cook had missed the ticket for our items. He promised us the food would arrive in 5 minutes, but we had to constantly...

Been meaning to leave a review for a very long time, however managed to forget..probably due to the fantastic friendly service we always receive from the team. We are always welcomed with open arms and the team bend over backwards to accommodate us. I must shout out the whole team… they’re all amazing… however, Becks has served us since we first started coming here, since moving in locally, before Jason the Head Chef joined, she was the main reason for our return. Jason joined, the food has been out of this world… I would recommend the roasts they’re delicious! The beef is served pink and the vegetables are cooked perfectly and well seasoned.
