"Popped into this corner café off the cuff when passing on foot. Lovely clean interior, I sat at a table next to the window.I ordered the full English with a cup of tea. There was toast included, so I asked if I could have a fried slice of bread instead of the toast, (who doesn't like fried bread with full English? .Anyway, the breakfast duly arrived as requested, but also with a round of toast by mistake. There was no additional charge for the round of toast, even though I had my fried bread as requested; so thank you! The food was excellent, and I thoroughly enjoyed my visit.I would recommend Blanchards for breakfast, and will visit again."

Sadly a bit disappointed. Dogs in the cafe. Food OK, but pricey for what it was. Small number of seats. Staff as always pleasant.

Blanchards is excellent for a simple english type lunch, home cooked ham, egg an chips with a nice cup of tea, they normally have a gluten free cake but not bread, I have seen people eating afternoon tea, which can be provided gluten free, notice is required for afternoon tea

Last week, we went to this café and had a wonderful experience. The cakes were all freshly made and homemade, and the lemon cheesecake was absolutely delicious. I can't wait to come back for afternoon tea. They also have a nice display of beautiful craft pieces. Don't just walk past this place, you'll regret missing out.

Blanchards is one of my favorite cafes to enjoy a casual lunch. Their homemade ham and other daily specials are definitely worth trying. The cafe also offers a delicious variety of cakes, including gluten-free options. I'm looking forward to trying their afternoon tea, which can also be made gluten-free for my wife who has dietary restrictions. She's already planning a reservation to come back soon. View menu

As the title states I haven’t been here before! Usually we go to the barge and bottle for lunch but we decided to go somewhere different! Just fancied a toasted teacake so that’s what I went for with a gingerbread latte! Both were delicious. Staff were friendly and helpful, the atmosphere clean and inviting. The items dotted around for sale were good quality and very fairly priced. We also took away some of the vanilla fudge which was also delicious! We will definitely be returning.

If you enjoy afternoon tea, Blanchards is a must-visit. The cozy setting inside is perfect for enjoying a leisurely afternoon tea, with small tables adorned with charming large teapots and pretty cups. The food is nothing short of impressive, with a three-tiered platter filled with delicious sandwiches and cakes, all of excellent quality. The little extras like crisps and salad add a nice touch. The staff is welcoming, attentive, and provides quick service. I highly recommend this lovely tea room to anyone who lives near or is visiting Sleaford.

"We choose this spot because of the many positive reviews. I guess we turned up on a bad day!I have only been introduced to coffee a few years ago despite being in my mid 50’s and really don’t like coffee unless a well made flat white. I travel the world frequently for work and always ask the same question, can you make a flat white? The reason being unless the person is a passionate barista I rarely get a coffee I enjoy. This question clearly upset the lady serving us who ‘rolled her eyes out loud’ by the question and then represented the request to her colleague in a manner that was more like ‘we have a pain in the arse’ than ‘can we make this gentleman a nice coffee. (Yes we overheard).Everything was fine except the flat white was a milky coffee and not something I enjoyed. Not a problem though. I never said a word but when asked at the counter how things were I thought I would say everything was good except the ‘flat white’. Immediately confronted by both in very hostile way was very surprising as I was only answering a question I thought they were interested in hearing I placed a review on their website and their response is a really good example of their attitude. Instead of focusing on service recovery they wanted to blame me and absolve themselves of any responsibility.I of course mentioned this to a few people in Sleaford and surprise surprise was met with very similar responses, ‘we don’t go there anymore as the staff can be very rude’ Looking forward to seeing how the proprietors decide to respond to this one."
