"As a blockhouse regular guests we are used to a high quality of food and so we were not disappointed about food... our Steaks fillet and hip steak were PERFEKT! Grilled to the point, buttersweet and delicious... we can't do better! That comforts us a little bit about the price screw being turned back. The first-class service, fast, attentive, friendly and humorous... is also worth mentioning. The new restaurant in Essen is surely one of the smaller and in the typical block house style. Only the regional wall paintings remind you that you are not in Hamburg. We'll be back!"

The food was excellent, I liked the ambience. The service or service was very friendly and accommodating. Hamburg, Düsseldorf or Essen the quality is equally good everywhere.

They served me a spoiled steak, smelled like fish and was very bitter. Now I will spend the evening on the toilet. Service was good though, they tried to fix it. Nevertheless was the food horrendous and overly expensive. I wont come back !

Finally, there is the Block House in Essen. I was absolutely thrilled again tonight! The quality of meat is phenomenal. My tip is the American Tenderloin. For me, the Block House is the best address in Germany for many years. In the runway, there was even advice on the different types of meat. The service was very competent and extremely friendly. I was there several times. The Knobibrot is delicious, the oven potato tasty, the pepper sauce exactly right and the steak smokey delicious. A beautiful Pils and the day is perfect. Service is very friendly and child-friendly. There was still pen and paper after the noodles with tomato sauce! I have rarely seen how my child eats a record completely empty. From therefore also of him 5 stars :D We will be happy to come soon;

Were there yesterday, at night. No reservation, still get a place. The food was very good, the service was extremely nice and courteous! (Grüßen goes out to Katharina B. The only thing that didn't work like that was the answer back on Facebook. To this day I got no answer (although it's done right now, but if something else could be done, it would be good. Also, since it is on the FB page, answering i.d.R. immediately And then it took some time after we took place until the service came, but that happens. The place was almost full. Living good quality!
