"I had read about this place in a blog with 200 good things about woolwich. therefore, opposite the huge tesco in woolwich is this striped and domestic device. it is drawn back to the naked flowing work of a previous incarnation. it looks fabulous. the breakfast lunch menu includes ful beans with boiled egg and season the wobbles, chili, paprika and chopped tomator with a side of pitta brot. traditional warming and tasty. they also make eggs and sandwiches. I have at least 6 vegetarian dishes on the menu and the coffee is excellent. there is a selection of sweets including baklava. I am mighily impressed by the place and hope to be a regular visit, my first visit was...read more"

Someone please enlighten me! This place is rated 4.6 so I gave it a try but the food is really really really salted I couldn’t taste any flavor but salt (even the salad). Honestly I’m open to try all kind of cuisines but this really let me down.

1. Very nice small cosy restaurant. The walls of the restaurant have cracked tiles showing the history of the building as a sausage shop. The restaurant although having an old style appearance is very clean tidy. 2. Service fantastic. Very nice and friendly. Very prompt 3. Food I have never had Eritrean food before but it was very tasty. Excellent vfm. 4. Toilet was clean. Overall very nice would go again. I would recommend the set menu so you can try everything!

sail woolwich’s blue nile. this is a fabulous, friendly and cozy café/restaurant, where you can pamper yourself in hearty Eritrean life alongside some Italian favorites. the original 1935 butcher shop interior creates a lot of atmosphere, and the architect son and daughter-in-law of the owner have added some groovy touches. I can warmly recommend the set menu to anyone who is a noviz when it comes to Eritrean eating. they do everything with an Eritrean Injera bread. you don't let a starving.

The adventurer in me was extra high that day so I had the Kitcha Fit Fit on the Lunch Menu and it was amazing, the spiced buttered pitta bread pieces with the fresh plain yoghurt went down great and was so mouthwatering and to finally top it off with desserts the Baklava with Eritrean traditional tea was the best experience of this type of cuisine in the woolwich area. The service was excellent as the waitress was nice and chatty, I could tell I did not fit their typical clientele but fantastic restaurant none the less.
