"My most recent visit here was my third after not having been for a couple of years. If I'd had reviewed it then I'd likely have given it two stars for mediocre food and a horrible interior reminiscent of a run-down Midwestern fast food resto. But after a recent visit with a friend not only is the interior modernized and spruced up, the food has also gotten better. Whereas before everything was heavy, oily and not especially flavorful, now dishes are lighter, sauces richer without being greasy and food tastes better. Chicken palak was good, and my friend's dahi ghosht had some good, tender lamb. The amount wasn't as much as we'd have liked, but the price was about right for the amount. Naan was very good, and there's a decent selection of basic wines by the glass and cocktails. There are so many good Indian restaurants in Munich now but if you happen to be in the area (and maybe want some takeaway, since everything on the menu is available for takeout) this is a much better option than it used to be. If you went back in the day and didn't like it, it's worth a try again."

Casual Indian restaurant with good food. Open on Sundays unlike many restaurants in Munich. We wandered in off the street and were pleasantly surprised. Lots of vegetarian options. Fast and pleasant service.

I m giving 2 Star for my lamb which was less than mediocre but my friend said he was happy with his chicken and he would have given 4 stars but then the waiter who was serving us got pissed for some reason because we complained about an error in the bill and my friends also changed their minds about the quality of the place : View menu

The food is always good, but there are some inconsistencies: *I always order the same dish and the portion size always varies, sometimes more chicken, sometimes less, but the taste is the same. *Twice there was no toilet paper or paper towels in the women's bathroom. *Service is not consistent. Sometimes they are very attentive but other times I have to walk over to them to get their attention.

"Indian restaurants are becoming almost as ubiquitous in Munich as Italian restaurants lately, or so it would seem. So why did I give this one get 5 stars? In part because Yelp doesn't allow for half star ratings and I didn't feel right giving four after my wonderful dinner experience there and the excellent meals my guy has had there before me. Kamasutra is close to his work and we had dinner here after him and work friends raved about this place for lunch. They've only been open for about three months but it's a regular lunch stop for them now. One thing I noticed early on, they do not take shortcuts. Great care is put into food and service. The menu is varied, good selection of wine and cocktails too. Service was friendly and attentive from start to finish. The interior is more modern and sleek than most Indian resto's. But what about the FOOD? We were in curry heaven. I had a jumbo shrimp curry and he had a chicken vindaloo. Sauces for both were rich, had complex, nuanced flavors and were not greasy or oily. And when they say spicy, they mean spicy, so for those of you lamenting the lack of proper spice level, make your way here NOW. If you don't want your curry toned down for the German palate, do have some here. Lovely garlic naan, very generous serving of good basmati. Delicious mango cream for dessert and real chai that wasn't syrupy sweet. Kamasutra is a real gem and a welcome addition to Munich."
