Boswells - Menu

Been here several times and found the coffee to be not very strong and lacking in taste, English breakfast uses cheap products and usually pre cooked thus making it dry and luke warm,many other outlets in town to choose from that are better and yes...it does seem popular place to eat and drink but personally i cant see why

I brought my kids to this restaurant for a meal before heading to the Cornerstone Theatre. The staff was incredibly friendly and attentive, albeit on the younger side. The service was top-notch and the food was satisfying, especially for the kids. My wife enjoyed the all-day breakfast as well. I will definitely return when I am in Didcot again.

it was completely refreshing not only to have a vast selection of gluten-free options available, but also to have the GF menu in clearer sight as I order queuing. the food, the drinks and the service were no longer. with a clean, friendly and welcoming environment. boswells is an absolute gem. where so many places it wrong, boswells makes it so right! I stopped by for breakfast and a coffee this morning. The full English was fantastic! The herby sausages were perfectly cooked and incredibly flavorful. The only thing missing was some toast to accompany it, then it would have gotten top marks from us! The service was very friendly, with every staff member saying good morning. It really makes a big difference!

My daughter and I recently visited this restaurant for breakfast. We are both vegetarians, and my daughter also has celiac disease. We were delighted to find a delicious vegetarian cooked breakfast, complete with gluten-free bread for my daughter. The restaurant also offered a fantastic gluten-free menu. Perhaps they could consider adding a vegetarian sausage option to the breakfast menu.

with my man and my adult son moved into an early piece. coffee was good. orange juice was bottled frobishers. it was cooked to order, but less than stellar. English breakfast includes chips from some strange background. the fried eggs were overboiled with this crispy bottom layer, which originates from too high temperature. everything else was more or less okay, but not especially inspiring. Found Boswells on the hunt for a full English on Sunday, there are not many places you can get a full English at lunch time in didcot!!! upon arrival the staff were friendly and helpful, very pleasant and seemed happy in their work! However once...the food came over our faces sank, beans were cold, eggs were over cooked, toast seemed to be stale, and sausages were terrible not great quality at all. It was truly a disappointment! By this time we were famished, the staff were all very busy so we ate and left. I doubt we will return!

Was on a course for a few days, and this place was handy for that. Have a good selection of usual cafe style food, paninis toasties, teacakes sausage rolls cakes etc Plumped for a brie and bacon panini....charged me for this. asked if i...wanted the salad that came with it...when it arrived, i had two bits of lambs lettuce and one slice cucumber and the panini was just a warmed doughy uncooked small sorry looking something. Two slices of brie, and two tablespoons of bacon rind hanging off. Dreadful. Not a place to visit unless you just want a drink and cake. Lots of things can be wrong with a high street cafe and Boswells gets so much of it right. A cooked breakfast was needed on a wet Sunday in October and Boswells was easy to find (and free to park). The standard breakfast menu had...a good range of combinations and some changes (hash browns instead of toast) were available without question. When the meals came the quantity was just right. Best of all were the staff. Others have said that they are smiley but more than that, they were attentive and actually knew what they were doing.
