"We visited this restaurant today and we had such great hopes the website and reservation point was very professional, the menu was exciting too as it included lots of options beyond meat and fish and the decor looked amazing. However, we were greeted with...less than enthusiasm, no real welcome, the order was wrong and overall the customer service was just not in keeping with what we thought the restaurant would offer. We come every year for the last years to Arles and we thought this will be a nice new place with exciting new menus and cocktails but it did not live up to what it displayed on the website. You can change this if you concentrate on enhancing the service and welcoming people with open arms we hope it will flourish and we give this feedback with encouragement not being negative"

We only ate here because just about everywhere else was full that night. We were rewarded with excellent food and excellent service. View menu

Two of us had the plat du jour for lunch a delicately spiced monkfish for Nice house wine too. The third person rated his pizza very highly- fantastic thin base, with lots of filling.

Nearby the most important places of Arles during the Rencontres de la Photographie, the Ateliers offer you very good food with a good and fast service and even good wines. Around the Ateliers area the best restaurant to go. View menu

We stopped here for lunch while doing the Rencontres exhibition, partly because it sits right at the entrance of a site where there are works by lots of different photographers close by....and really, this was quite a find. The service was quick and friendly, the...food beautifully presented, tasty and original...I had the fish burger which was delicious and also came with an extensive, crunchy fresh salad and rough cut chips...we will be back

A l'italienne. Bravo. Je reviendrai.

"This restaurant is part of a hotel in a very impressive 16th century building. It looks very classy. However, the night we were there, there must have been some serious problems in the kitchen (or maybe it is always like that . We started with a shared plate of charcuterie which took a long time to arrive – how long does it take to arrange the cold meats on a plate? We then waited a very, very long time for our main courses. While waiting, we saw a dispute at another table involving the maître d’ and resulting in plates going back to the kitchen. We had both ordered duck à l’orange which came with Camargue rice. The rice appeared to have been baked in the oven and was so crisp and dry that it resembled a cereal bar. The ‘orange’ was not the usual sauce, but instead was four cubes of orange that appeared to have been scorched on a grill. They added nothing to the dish. It had been suggested that we should share a side of seasonal vegetables. These turned out to be big chunks of boiled potatoes (with rice! , a boiled root vegetable and a couple of dry artichokes. We had interchanges with two servers and the maître d – all were cold and brusque. We lived in France for more than 20 years and appreciate the fact that the French like to take their time with meals, but there is a big difference between leisurely and glacially slow. Perhaps we were there on a bad night, others seem to have had a better experience."
