"Was meant to be Christmas lunch ended up being dinner as was not even served our drinks until over an hour of being there. Meant to be a prosecco each on arrival...nope. After half an hour waiting to be seated we were told we were in the wrong table. Got moved...twice...I understand that the staff are overwhelmed but don't book so many customers if you can't handle it, I'd heard from so many people not to come here for Christmas dinner for a few years but you'd think they would learn by now. Waitress brought the wrong starters a few times, she told us off and said we were at the wrong table again..extremely rude. Food was rancid but at least we were fed because I didn't expect to be. Unfortunately we never gave a tip because the rude waitress was not getting a penny from me and there were no other staff around to give a tip to."

Awful experience from beginning to end. Waited for over an hour for food, dirty bathrooms, and extremely rude staff.

Went for dinner prior to seeing Slade a few doors down.Main issue is lack of staff,1 guy behind the bar waited 20 mins for a drink then gave up.

From start to finish a bad experience. Place was unclean, unstocked in food, drinks and bathroom requirements. Restaurant was very cold. Staff apart from one male , were rude and unhelpful.

The service was excellent and the food at the carvery was exceptional, Jack's attentive service and friendly conversation made our experience even better. We will definitely be returning to this restaurant.

Ate there twice whilst staying at the premier Inn, the staff were so polite and even suggested alternative when on the first night the meal I wanted wasn't available. The meal was simple but had flavour with no rush to eat Lovely atmosphere

I absolutely adore this restaurant - it's my go-to spot! I come here often, whether I'm alone or with family and friends, and it never disappoints. The staff is incredibly friendly and welcoming. The food is delicious and reasonably priced, and I appreciate their loyalty program as well as their gluten-free menu. The team is very knowledgeable about gluten and other allergies. Olivia and Jack were particularly helpful and patient when taking my order. The customer service is top-notch, the atmosphere is fantastic, and the food is consistently excellent.

Booking online is really easy, My family and I were warmly greeted on arrival for our booking on Saturday at 7:15pm, seated and felt very comfortable, without being rushed. I often eat here, love the ambiance, the teams are super friendly and professional, , Gluten Free Options available, meals are always nice I feel that as a GF eater the teams are very well informed and knowledgeable, I also don’t feel over exposed, which is really nice. I want the thank everyone at the Prom for looking after me and my family on every visit… specially Olivia, Jack, Elle, Nan” Charlie etc… the chefs are great too

"Having been raised at the knees of Caribbean and African women, sometimes I’m just in need of some soul food. I’ve often gone past Mullins and seen that it is busy, and looks bright, clean, warm and friendly. And it is. The decor works really well. Low-key, warm and welcoming. Music is a soothing stream of lilting Caribbean classics. The waiting staff are lovely. So friendly. And the menu looks great. There isn’t too much of it, and it is quite hard to choose because it all sounds amazing. Price points are really good. But. The food is genuinely terrible. I went for a Creole fish stew. I don’t know how you can make a stew without flavour. When you are cooking things slowly and together, flavour infuses flavour. But not here. This was a good sized portion of piping hot well presented food. But my God it tasted awful. Basically chopped potato surrounded by small lumps of bland unidentifiable white fish, half a dozen mussels, some of which were still closed, and therefore inedible, and three flavourless prawns in shells. There was a pinch of Samphire on the top, and this was the sum total of the vegetables I could find. It came in what I can only describe as a thick red sauce. If there was tomato in it, there was no flavour to it. It was highly salty, and this was the dominant flavour throughout. The fish had no flavour of fish, and it was intensely spiced in a lip plumping way. Essentially, it was all heat and salt. With a slight tang of gents toilets. I suspect this was from the mussels. I did raise the blandness twice with the waiter, and the strange unpleasant toilet flavour. He said he would tell chef. And that was that. No feedback on the dreadful flavour other than that it was all fresh. I ate the entirety of the meal because I had travelled a long way and had not eaten. I saw it simply as fuel. It was not enjoyable. I paid and left. Mullins is so close to getting everything right, but a restaurant is its food. I’m not going back."
