"My first experience of the relaunched Wyatt and Jones main restaurant on Friday was amazing. Jan and his team have remade the old restaurant into a smaller but far more intimate space embracing the concept lots of smaller sharing plates rather than the usual 3 course meal template. And what fantastic food it is too. I won’t go into dishes in detail but it’s enough to say my wife and I devoured a whole host of unique and delicious plates, all using the best ingredients. The drinks too were excellent and simple and we sat at the extremely comfortable bar to eat and were made very welcome by Jan, his family and staff. The refurbished restaurant has somehow a ‘speakeasy’ feel with darker more sumptuous decor but with those amazing picture windows juxtaposed to give you dramatic views of the bay and sea. And, to top it all off, it’s nowhere near as expensive as it could be. All in all, a most excellent experience which we can not recommend highly enough. It was so good that we went back for Sunday lunch enjoying their take on a traditional roast which was equally delicious. Well done to Jan, Emily, Henry and team. Visiting Wyatt and Jones feels like having dinner at a friends house and we can’t wait to go back again soon."

Lovely place for breakfast, just too expensive for my point of view (it's not London), eggs Benedict cook perfectly but it's insane that they don't

Wyatt and Jones are always busy because of their perfect location, that was our second visit to the restaurant and they were really superior to our grandparents and helped them in and out of the building. The food was really delicious and the view is beautiful. View menu

lovely place, very attentive staff, food was great and the atmosphere very relaxed, would go again, we both had fish. I had the dover sole , it was so tasty and my guest had the bream. I would have liked the bream but unfortunately it was served with chorizo and I only eat fish ! looked tasty though. the desserts were divine. We shared half each as we coudnt decide.

Authentic, high-quality restaurant that also understands the importance of drinks such as good, local beer and gin! I chose to take a not easily impressed friend I hadn't seen for ages for lunch, and she and I both thought it was top notch. We had the Bratbeef that came with a well prepared veg, a perfect Yorkshire pudding and Ross radish sauce with decent heat. I'm looking forward to taking my husband here for a meal.

"Having been raised at the knees of Caribbean and African women, sometimes I’m just in need of some soul food. I’ve often gone past Mullins and seen that it is busy, and looks bright, clean, warm and friendly. And it is. The decor works really well. Low-key, warm and welcoming. Music is a soothing stream of lilting Caribbean classics. The waiting staff are lovely. So friendly. And the menu looks great. There isn’t too much of it, and it is quite hard to choose because it all sounds amazing. Price points are really good. But. The food is genuinely terrible. I went for a Creole fish stew. I don’t know how you can make a stew without flavour. When you are cooking things slowly and together, flavour infuses flavour. But not here. This was a good sized portion of piping hot well presented food. But my God it tasted awful. Basically chopped potato surrounded by small lumps of bland unidentifiable white fish, half a dozen mussels, some of which were still closed, and therefore inedible, and three flavourless prawns in shells. There was a pinch of Samphire on the top, and this was the sum total of the vegetables I could find. It came in what I can only describe as a thick red sauce. If there was tomato in it, there was no flavour to it. It was highly salty, and this was the dominant flavour throughout. The fish had no flavour of fish, and it was intensely spiced in a lip plumping way. Essentially, it was all heat and salt. With a slight tang of gents toilets. I suspect this was from the mussels. I did raise the blandness twice with the waiter, and the strange unpleasant toilet flavour. He said he would tell chef. And that was that. No feedback on the dreadful flavour other than that it was all fresh. I ate the entirety of the meal because I had travelled a long way and had not eaten. I saw it simply as fuel. It was not enjoyable. I paid and left. Mullins is so close to getting everything right, but a restaurant is its food. I’m not going back."
