Brewers Fayre Rising Sun

Children eat breakfast free with an adult, so for a family of 4 it is under 20GBP for everything you can eat, what not to like? You need to ask for poached or cooked eggs and for vegetarian food, but the serving staff is fast, friendly and helpful.

Breakfast was a shambles. When we arrived at 9.30 there were no plates, cutlery, glasses or mugs. Food was okay. Staff were abrasive at best but may have been understaffed. Everything was so poorly organised and for a £60 bill my friends had to eat with their hands. Would not reccomend.

Breakfast is great and also the staff, but the evenings are completely the opposite. Waiting times of 2 hours for food, employees have no idea what's going on at any time. To ask for a drink at the bar when it goes at 10:00, you'll tell him. If this is a pint you want to dive into the Spirit Store on Whippendall Rd or into the Harvester on Watford Rd.

The food was horrible the service was horrible a man quite his job through are meal and 35 of our family members got full refunds also the waitress through a menu at another customer. Futhermore the food was horrible the kids burger was rock hard and the food was mainly boiled with no seasoning i WARM YOU! Over the weekend (10th-12th June 2022) at the Premier-Inn next door and used the Rising Sun a lot of time during our stay. First, we used the restaurant for breakfast both morning as it has a lot with the Premier Inn. We chose the Saturday night at Rising Sun and it was no better choice! Beverages and snacks at the bar were cheap and the customer service we received, especially by Barmanager Catherine, was great. Didn't even want to give them one star to be honest! Well talk about Fawlty Towers! We stayed next door for 3 nights, the only thing the bar had going for it was the aircon! The place was filthy, staff had no idea what they were doing, tables had glasses, cups and plates on for hours, tables were sticky, a pigeon came in and the member of staff that took it out never even washed his hands before going back behind the bar! The sun has set on this Brewers Fayre. We visited well before lockdown and enjoyed a midweek meal, we knew there were some issues due to covid/staffing etc so phoned in advance. We were told what was missing on the menu but thought we would still take a chance (wish we hadn't). On entering the first thing the manager told us was there would be a 45 mins wait for food, fair enough, we have waited longer before. I started with the positive, the waiting staff was very polite and polite. Unfortunately, this is the only good thing in our experience. For the negatives.... Since the restaurant was quite empty, the staff decided to sit near another table where 2 of the 4 members of a family were hailed several times. If they hadn't finished their desserts, we would have moved. There were a whole list of items that were not available in the evening, which we ate here, which remained longer than the evening (for example, only after my curry had been brought to me, they told me that they had run out of Mango-Cutney). As the only two in the restaurant we were taken to a dirty sticky table. We ordered 2 prawn cocktail, nachos and a burger. It then starts. The first thing they bring is the main, (the burger) nothing else. The burger was okay the chips were a bit raw. They forgot the starters, and one of the main meals. We then explained we wanted starters before the main, so they took the burger and brought starters.
