"What a great family run pub! Eclectic clientele of all ages. Friendly welcome, with super attentive staff. Great food with a huge nod to their South African roots, but great traditional fare too. Smallish menu but that’s because everything is cooked fresh, be patient it’s worth the wait. If not go to the local Spoons or Harvester, you’d fit right in!!! There is a good selection of traditional ales, Peroni and Bira Moretti on tap for the more discerning lager drinkers, the Guinness is excellent too. If you ask nicely they’ll make you an Old Fashioned as well! These guys work really hard with regular quiz, DJ and live music events with a really chilled and friendly vibe. Great that my GF lives just around the corner … legendary for a local."

Excellent Christmas dinner, the gravy is the best in Watford. The smoked salmon starter was light and tasted divine. Service was excellent and given with a smile

Best place to have Sunday lunch in Watford. Went today with family including young children and the food was excellent. The lamb shoulder and beef rib really good. View menu

A quaint local pub in Watford within walking distance of the train station, this place served a pleasant Sunday roast. Great way to spend a couple hours waiting for the Harry Potter shuttle later in the day!

Great service, very friendly staff and the Sunday roasts are out of this world. With a great choice of beers and wine you cannot go wrong. I've heard the curry is also very good but I'm yet to try. Will update once I've had it.

If you’re looking for a top quality Sunday Roast, look no further. I opted of the beef short ribs, with a selection of seasonal vegetables and the best gravy I’ve tasted in a long while. The atmosphere is very relaxed, and you are made to feel welcome from the moment you walk in the door Would I go again? Absolutely Would I recommend it? You bet, you won’t be disappointed View menu

Really amazing place all round!! Lovely pub with a nice relaxed, slightly quirky and welcoming vibe! Staff are absolutely great, so attentive, friendly and absolute pleasure to deal with. The food is really top notch, I had the South African burger. It was delicious, cooked to perfection and served with fabulous chips too! It's really reasonably priced and they also have a great wine list, again this is really reasonably priced for really good quality wine! Lots of my friends have visited to and recommended the place. Everyone has only positive things to say! We love this place, check it out cannot recommend highly enough!
