"Spent a couple of hours here on a Saturday afternoon while waiting for family. Pub was reasonably quiet when we arrived around 2pm. Although threatening rain, it was sunny, so we sat in the beer garden underneath the pergola at the back. This allowed us to enjoy the sun and shelter from the rain during a couple of brief, but heavy showers. Only had drinks, but would happily visit again. Parking: Small car park to the rear, with room for approx 8 cars maximum. A bit tight when full."

Convenient parking available at the back of the pub. The service was a bit slow, but the food was tasty. Prices range from £10 to £20 per person. I would rate the food a 5, service a 4, and atmosphere a 4.

We were a table of 9 (including 14month old twins) for Father’s Day lunch. It was great there was so much space for the twins, not overcrowded so we could all hear the conversation! It totally fitted our requirements. Price per person: £20–30 Food: 4 Service: 5

Met friends here for dinner few drinks. A variety of food was ordered we asked for a camembert to come out before the mains. Unfortunately some of the group had eaten mains before the starter came out. Food was delicious but the rugby platter was definately not worth the money. Would go back again but avoid the platter as very expensive for what you get

The host was extremely welcoming and even took the time to give us a tour, as my family used to own the pub many years ago (Halfpenny). There is ample parking available behind the pub. The cost per person ranges from £20-30, but the food, service, and atmosphere all deserve a top rating of 5. Plus, the parking lot is free and there are plenty of spaces to choose from.

"We were visiting Windsor and read the good reviews about this place and were so pleasantly surprised to find such cosy and beautiful place . The food was delicious. Lots of starters to choose from. We had squid and warm salad for starters... The squid...was so delicious and beautifully cooked, and had subtle spicey chilly and onion dressing. I had warm salad and the pork just melted in my mouth . For our mains we had steaks , sirloin and rib eye and my partner said this is the best steak he had ever had in UK . The mushroom sauce I had was so authentic just perfect. The sides of duck fat chips and cauliflower cheese are must try ! I never though that I'd love cauliflower but I'm already a fan after trying WG's special side of cauliflower cheese. Generous portions and such lovely staff ! They made us feel welcomed always with smile on their faces and very knowledgeable and chatty as well. The whole atmosphere in the restaurant was relaxed and it had real good vibe .The play list was such a nice addition to our experience , such good mix of all types of music. We were sat at the table close to the bar, and we've noticed that the whole place is decorated with good taste and attention to detail. This place is a true gem honestly , and I'm not surprised now that they have so many stars reviews ! We will definitely come back when visiting Windsor again ! My sincere compliments to the chefs as well ! We've learned that the owner of the restaurant is the Chef at the kitchen so what a delight , when so much attention to details is payed to food ! You created a food momento that we will not forget ."
