"We visited Broughty Ferry eight years ago and had a lunch at the Bruach, it persuaded us to move to the area because of the many good restaurants and shops. Bruach has been taken over by the owners of the Barrelman in Dundee and we decided to lunch here after having several good experiences there. Good menu but the fish is usually good in this area so we both had haddock, fish tasted very fresh with good batter, chips and bit greasy, tartar sauce very good and plentiful too, mushy peas a bit dried out. Fish supplied by Perth company not Arbroath but fish was very good. Quality suppliers seem to be used, meat suppliers are Scott’s which we use all the time because of the quality. Good choices on menu, you will get something to your liking. Good wine list at reasonable prices Staff good and very helpful Popular with families at lunch time so quite busy downstairs, we got the last table downstairs but if it had been occupied we would have been dining probably alone upstairs which rather spoils the dining experience."

We went for brunch for a change. It’s usually lunch. It was great. Pancakes are just the best. Oh and a mimosa washed it all down perfectly.

Worst eggs Benedict I’ve ever had. Bacon is meant to be crispy, it was still oinking Hollandaise sauce was pure vinegar The poached eggs were solid. Avoid at all costs

Everything was great apart from the staff wedging the stair door open (to serve food to downstairs) it was freezing. Great food and cocktails. Reasonably priced wine list and attentive staff.

Out for dinner and drinks with friends for my upcoming 60th birthday. The food was lovely, nice selection. Cocktails were amazing!! We were served by Jamie and Megan and the service was attentive and friendly. Nothing was too much trouble. Looking forward to my next visit. View menu

Bruach was able to accommodate a group of American clients who had been golfing at Carnoustie with a late tee time. Having preordered the group enjoyed the Cullen Skink (the best they’d had in Scotland) and ‘awesome’ steaks high praise from US clients. Service was excellent.

I was taken here by my friend for our Christmas catch up and i was so impressed! The staff were all very attentive and couldn't do enough to make our visit special. We both ate from the lunch menu accompanied by two of their cocktail specials which were lovely! The restaurant is very comfortable to sit in and i will be returning soon. Thank you to all the team!

Food, service atmosphere was excellent. Staff were so attentive. It was busy which was great..you would probably need to book..our server was very knowledgeable on both the food and drinks menu. We were delighted to see our favourite wine was sold by the glass. Not many places do this. Although we didn't have any cocktails they looked amazing ! People were reordering so they must have been good!! View menu

Hadn't been here for ages for food. Went with a work party and we weren't disappointed. We arrived a bit early but the staff were so accommodating and managed to get us seated. Very wide selection of cocktails with some unique specials on. Staff were very good and service was slick. I ordered the mac and cheese with pulled pork and I couldn't fault it. Good filling portion size but not too much. Really enjoyed the visit and keen to go back.

Came here for drinks and snacks after returning to the Ferry from an event in town was excellent. Staff were very accommodating and found us a booth with some stools nearby for our party despite being busy. Drinks cocktails (very good), wine, Neck Oil beer (also very good) Food we had lovely platters where you could pick and mix small plates type food like haggis bites which were all lovely and basically meant we had our own little buffet. Didn't have a proper meal on this visit but the plates I saw going out to other diners looks excellent. Will return for a proper meal and more beer at a later date.
