"We opted for the set menu 3 x courses for £30 with a glass of bubbles. There were three choices for starters, main courses and 1 option of pudding or ice cream. I felt the choices were quite limited, another option would have been good. When we went to order we were told one of the starters wasn't available (Ham Hock), which we had all chosen. The alternative was Beef Tartar. We felt this an unusual choice and asked if there would be another option, we were told no, that is the option. We therefore decided to just go for two courses. The food we had was good, I had the Fishcake and my friends the Pie. We all then opted for Sticky toffee pudding (the only option). The set menu is good value, but it would be much more appealing to have more options, especially for a mid week quite bite. The service was good, and overall we enjoyed our evening."

Superb Sunday roast. Great service. One small thing was that they didn’t seem to know about the OpenTable roast deal. But they more than made up for that. Great experience.

Rafa our waiter was excellent credit to the institution, great wine recommendations, attentive, but not annoying. Food was excellent, roast beef and Yorkshire powder might be the last roast until winter! Fantastic pastries on the lemon balm, although not sure about salted caramel ice INSIDE the cake. Nice lunch, sitting on the terrace, drinking wine, with excellent service, what more you need

The food and service we received was excellent quality and delicious, but it was very disappointing that at 7pm on Easter Sunday they had already run out of the heavily advertised roast lamb and were no longer able to provide Yorkshire puddings with any of the roast dinners due to unexpectedly high demand. I would expect an established restaurant to be more able to predict that Easter Sunday would attract unusually high demand for roast dinners especially after it was pushed heavily in direct marketing in the proceeding weeks and frankly, I could have knocked up a tray of Yorkshire puddings in less than time taken to serve the main courses.
