Venus Cafe - Menu

I was very disappointed by the quality of the food and the high prices at this restaurant. I will definitely be avoiding it for the remainder of my holiday.

It’s been 30 years since I was last at Blackpool sands, I don’t think the cafe was there then. And the pool I imagine the beaches was named after was gone, but the sea was so incredibly clear, and we enjoyed delicious ice cream there. My son Jude enjoyed his Jude’s ice cream overlooking the sea.

The beach and shop are both beautiful, but unfortunately the cafe falls short. The food is overpriced and often burnt, making for a disappointing experience. The menu is too extensive and there is not enough staff, resulting in long wait times for simple dishes. I would recommend bringing a picnic instead. View menu

Overpriced and disorganised. Had to wait 20 mins in a queue then 20 mins to receive my takeaway. Lots of disgruntled customers. Menu is far too fussy. Most visitors want a choice of tasty sandwiches to eat on the beach rather than a hot meal to takeaway ! Very disappointed and will definitely take our own food next time.

The restaurant is extremely overpriced for serving mediocre food on disposable plates in a dirty setting. The cost of an English breakfast is £13, excluding a beverage. The staff is unhelpful and impolite. The establishment is designed as a "takeaway with indoor seating," but they cannot alert customers when their food is ready or provide an estimate of when it will be ready.

We have been to venus in Devon many times always very good quality food and high standards. A few weeks ago went to broadsands so different fresh fish and very friendly staff.. Visited Blackpool sands today I know it's closing in January 2023 but it was awful. Staff could not be bothered fish and chips there were three frozen pieces of fish tasteless and would not return nor recommend.. What a shame for the name venus. View menu

Me and my partner came across the cafe when we went for a walk along Blackpool Sands Beach. We opted to get a takeaway as we were only staying 1.5 miles away. I had the chicken tacos and my partner had the fish and chips. Both were amazingly tasty and reasonably priced. We enjoyed it so much we went back 2 days later but unfortunately the cafe was closed on this occasion. I would highly recommend this place to snuone looking for some fresh and tasty food or drinks.

It started off with a problem paying at the till before our order. The nice assistant got the bill wrong in our favour. Not a problem. Another lady stepped in , not such a nice attitude. We ordered coffees , a bacon bap a sausage bap and crisps Food arrived within one min , obviously microwaved. Un edible both baps , coffee un drinkable . Not worth a row , so we left both food and drinks. Maybe they were just having a bad day at the office, but friendly they were not

For such a fantastic beach views, the cafe was extremely disappointing. Queued for hot drinks chips, but had to queue for gift shop/ice cream/ water sports for 2 cornets. They were unable to cope with that request, told the queue to only wait for water sports but were unable to cope with a simple ice cream request, quite frankly if they weren’t for my grandchildren I wouldn’t have tried anyway at £3.50 for 1 scoop. All plant based but really? They need a better way of booking in water sports equipment, and beach gifts ice cream dealt with by another. Shame as this ruined a very lovely day out, lovely beach but take your own picnic! View menu
