"Aasee is a lake at Münster, North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany. At an elevation of 54 m, its surface area is 0.402 km2. During the siege of Münster by Prince Bishop Christoph Bernhard von Galen on December 18, 1660, two earth walls were broken with which the city had been cut off from the water supply, thus causing much of the city area to be flooded. [2] Munster later surrendered to the besiegers. The bodies of water from the dam rupture could still be seen years later at the site of present-day Lake Aa. Until the beginning of the 19th century there were wetlands and marshy meadows through which the Aa flowed. These meadows were regularly flooded, and the water level sometimes reached such proportions that the old town of Münster was flooded. The Münster professor of zoology, Hermann Landois, spoke in 1888 in favor of the construction of an Aa basin not only to be able to better control the water level of the Aa. [1] At the same time, Landois wanted to use the reservoir to ensure the city 's drinking water supply, to allow sports activities such as rowing, sailing and swimming, to contribute to the beautification of the city, but also to reduce the source of pathogens from a hygienic point of view was used by flushing the Aabett, as the Aa also acts as a city sewer. [3] It was not until a quarter of a century after Landois ' first statements and nine years after his death, in the spring of 1914, that Italian workers began to implement their vision to reduce the risk of flooding in the city of Münster. We love it. The kids play in the Spielecke while we can drink a coffe; or have dinner all together for a good price. We go almost every week!

Start with shout out to USHI and ALI what agreat customer service. Great atmosphere and great food. All the way from San Diego California and got nothing but good to say.

The food and drinks are good but the service is really bad. One waitress was not friendly at all, and was rude. She moved the table next to my table without asking and made big sound there were no even other customers needing that table.

Worthwhile selection of international food, drinks, and dessert. Strongly recommend the dark chocolate mousse and make sure to pop inside to see the cakes. Staff service is a little scarce but there's a lot of seating so it's understandable. Would definitely come here again.

I ordered for Heisse Schokolade but they got me Ice Cream with Chocolate, but guess what it was amazing and I got a new favourite thing to order. Could have been my german pronunciation was a different, but its an amazing place and the drinks are very nice with amazing presentation and serving. 5 stars!!

The service team were very friendly and efficient both at the table and filling up the breakfast buffet. The all you can eat breakfast buffet had a good choice of food with both hot and cold variations. The only thing I personally missed was a bit of bacon instead of meatballs. If you're in Münster and fancy a bit of brekky to start your day, this is the place to go to.

Good spot for an afternoon hangout or just relax and watch the town go by if you're here on a day of good weather. You can dine upstairs like a real dining experience, which I haven't tried yet. I have tried outdoors and inside on the first floor seated by the door (all doors were opened on both sides). There was plenty of fresh air. I felt comfortable on the seats. Menu had plenty to choose from, but I wasn't particularly hungry, so I had a fruit smoothie, which was very good. I've forgotten the name in Deutsch (German). I had no issues with service.
