"We came across this restaurant whilst walking around it looked nice and the prices were reasonable so we decided to go for it! We had a very pleasant meal. Three courses were E24, two courses E21 and the Plat du Jour was E17. The...restaurant was bright and airy and the lady serving our table was helpful and friendly. We went for the E24 menu and the E21. We both had the smoked salmon starter, which came with toast and salad. It was tasty but unremarkable. My husband had the fish of the day served with a cream-red pepper sauce with rice and salad, which, he said, was very nice. I had the lamb-shank, which was really good, falling off the bone and the thyme gravy was delicious it was served with sliced fried potatoes (I suspect in duck fat) which were really gorgeous. We had a bottle of Rose which cost E16.50, it was ok, but could be bought in a supermarket for no more than four or five euro, if that much, and I must say I resent this kind of mark-up. I later noticed a board offering pitchers of wine for E8.50, which was not shown to us with the wine list, although the menu board was brought over with the menu!! My husband enjoyed his dessert. All in all it was a very pleasant meal. However, there was one thing that annoyed me, and that was, almost before our knife and forks were put down, the plates were whipped away. It was good home style cooking, but a bit pricey, as nearer the port gate, as we left the old town, a more up-market restaurant was offering four and five courses starting at E27 and E29 with a wine list starting at E15. So, don't assume getting away from the port gates is much less expensive! Have a good look around."

delicious hearty and sweet crepes and fast, friendly and efficient service. a light mix over a job wins this 4 stars, otherwise would have been 5.

We arrived at St Malo at 8.30 pm and staving. Besides our hotel was this restaurant. We entered because it looked really nice. .. Thank god we did! We had a menu with starter main and desserts for 21 eur each. Food was delicious and...service excellent. We actually had the place for ourselves. Really recommend it!

We chose Cafe du havre by ambience, intuition, and menu, Cafe du Havre is very enjoyable. Very pleasant decor. Staff is warm and cordial. Lamb with thyme is delicieux, and bottle of Cotes-du-Rhone was well priced and good. We fondly remember Cafe du havre as...we look forward to another fine and relaxing dinner there.

We came across Cafe du Havre during our visit this week. The menu was slightly better priced than a lot in the area. Our waitress spoke very good English and was very pleasant. The food was great, We had Duck with mash pots (shepherds pie...style), curried scallops and pollock in a cream sauce all very very nice. well worth a visit. Wish we had found it on our first night not the last!

wandering in the narrow alleys of the old walled city, each second caffe offers to lunch krups. we chose randomly, based on the availability of a table in the sun, and chose the galette biquette and the galette montagnarde. both came with an salad, and. were fresh and fill, no huge serve, but at € 8.90 everyone, great worth. with a glass wee and a cola we were happy with the 24 € shaft.

they needed a long time to serve us (30 mins plus.) but most restaurants in saint malo do. a magarita pizza and a partly chips ordered. our pizza came out first, no chips, we waited 15 minutes extra. we then asked one of the waitresses where our part is the chips. we will get two pieces of chips instead of one. I myself and my partner just fucked, we didn't complain because it was so good.

Came across this eaterie by accident. The menu was excellent. We had the set menu for 15,40 euros which included a choice of entree, main and dessert. The food was excellent, of a very good quality and nicely presented. The staff were friendly and helpful...expalining what the choice of the day was in English. I would definitely recommend eating here. It is down a side street so quieter than some of the restaurants along the main road.

Through Trip advisor and we took two of their €24 menu. The first course was very simple , smoked salmon cut to shreds and placed on a lettuce leaf, teh second was a a lmab shank and the dessert course was a crep witha spread...of nutella, this was beacuse their crumble course was not available. Now you tell me if that was worth €24? We eat in and around the st Malo area very often and that was by far the worst meal for the price we have ever had offered to us, sorry but that is how it was. Added to that, none of the tables were properley prepared, as in no glasses, water or wine, ours had no knives! the aperatifs arrived at the same time as the entrée and no water arrived for the Ricard unt...
