"My husband and I stopped at Cafe du Metro today for lunch. He was having a minor sugar-caffeine reaction and needed a basic lunch. We were seated right away -- though in French cafes the tables are tiny and very closely packed -- which was not particularly pleasant for someone who was sweating and needed air. Not the cafe's fault, clearly. We ordered "club sandwiches", which are not the American-style triple decker, but one-story toasted bread, ham, cheese, tomato and lettuce. I thought that the 14.5 euro price was high when we ordered, but the plates arrived with salad and a mountain of fries in addition to the sandwiches -- a very filling meal. The Cafe du Metro is convenient, at the corner of two major intersections in Paris. I find, however, that the bistros and cafes on the side streets often offer better deals and better food."

Well located corner bistrot but the waiters are surly. It's hard to get much more than a beer or a coffee from this place. It doesn't matter if you are French or foreign - the waiters dislike everyone

My wife and I had dinner there. Food was outstanding - pork and vegetables for her, sausage and potatoes for me. With 2 glasses of wine (no dessert), the cost was 50 euros. We will visit again. Also a great place for a drink and people watching.

Cosy place, good atmosphere. Quite tasty burger (wouldn't say it was best one I ate... especially having in mind it's price 27 euro!!)Burger + American beer did well in France. Prepare 40 euro for this deal. But that's Paris I think. Would visit it ones more! View menu

I went there in June while my daughter was at brandy melville's. I took a dish with chicken. good without any more, but I'm not hard. The waiters should smile a little more seen as they are muscular. I'll go back there waiting for my daughter at brandy melville :)

We had lunch at the metro café and were served by the owner's grandson. it belongs to the same family since the 1920s, and it is always the same family that owns the place. We each ordered a salad and drank rosé wine with food. everything was very good and the service was fast and very pleasant. We'll be happy to come back.
