"restaurant very well located for concerts on the nights of the south. The staff is very correct. a slate displayed on the wall and visible on the street announces salads and a scallop, sir. Once you're sitting, you're told "the card is reduced in the evenings of concerts because there's too many people." So you have to choose between rich and rather expensive dishes. We're going down on a pizza. Who's the name of it! a tomato and cheese pie! How can a restaurant not know how to make pizza?!2 pizzas and 2 beers for 36 euros. without supplement fortunately because it is written on the slate that the prizes are increased by 1 euros in the evenings of concerts. when you enjoy this location and a captive clientele: you respect it!"

Lovely setting and delicious pizza. We especially loved their Aperol Spritz! The server was friendly and helpful.

Well prepared food with friendly and welcoming service. Lots to choose from on the menu. No problem substituting ingredients. 10/10

We had a lovely dinner on a Sunday evening at Cafe Matisse. The staff were very friendly and took the time to explain the menu. We found the food to be great and would recommend this cafe.

What a disappointment. Rude staff, poor food, tiny portions. Add to this stale bread and dirty crockery and you have a perfect recipe for somewhere that needs closing down immediately. AVOID AVOID AVOID

We selected this cafe because it is on a corner perfect for people watching. There were also quite a few locals as well. Thats always a good sign. We ordered a delicious vegetable quiche and a seasonal salad. The potions were satisfying, the owner and server were charming and engaging. Felt very welcomed. Went back the next day for breafast and he was happy to see us. Very nice guy. Mushroom omelet was great.

We took 2 pizzas, a ravioli dish and two beers: 70 euros... Pizzas were at 17 euros (excessive even if southern night), so we expected to eat quality pizzas. And no. but really no. products of very poor quality, home paste, cheeses and ingredients that come from metro. We got scammed. for the ravioli there were 6 for 17 euros too.We had no bread or water. I told the boss that he stole us, he doesn't take anything but he must be used to this kind of reaction. change your business, you're supposed to have your customers spend a good time

I hear there may have been a change of ownership. It has not been for the better. We are lucky to have a house near Vence so know most of the eateries. My wife is Vegan and had the audacity to ask for a pizza with no cheese. The waiter (might be the owner) treated her like something he had found on the bottom of his shoe. When the season is over and this establishment is scratching around for business we will take great pleasure in taking our Euros elsewhere. We are easy to please and only ask for reasonable value and good service. This is the only poor experience we have ever had of the local restaurants.
