"If you're driving from Scotland to England and plan to take a detour before arriving at Tebay, this is the ideal place to stop! Conveniently located just off the large roundabout at the A66 Penrith exit from the M6, the café is situated above Cranston's Cumbrian Food Hall, making it a perfect spot for a break. The menu features simple yet high-quality, homemade meals prepared with locally sourced ingredients. The café itself is a lovely, spacious, and bright area decorated with artwork from local artists. Their breakfasts are exceptional, with all-day specials available alongside the regular menu. The homemade baked goods are delightful, and the prices are quite reasonable. Downstairs, the food hall is just as impressive, offering a wide variety of fresh and frozen products, including vegetables, meats, and fish. You'll also find fresh bread, an amazing deli section, and an excellent selection of wine, craft beer, and local ciders. Be prepared for this stop to take longer than you might expect!"

The quality of the food did not match the steep prices, and I left feeling quite let down.

The hot chocolate and scone were delicious, but £12? We could have had coffee or tea with a scone for only £3 each. Since we don't drink coffee or tea, it would have been nice to have some kind of discount.

I highly recommend this restaurant for breakfast. The bacon and Cumberland sausages are outstanding, and the eggs are cooked to perfection. The service is impressively quick and welcoming. We ordered two full English breakfasts with toast and a large pot of tea for just £16. Everything was delicious, and this will definitely be our go-to place for meals on future visits.
