This coffee shop was the first one we came across on a Sunday morning. The breakfast was good in quantity and price, and it was also very pleasant to have it on the outdoor terrace with a good temperature.

Buen sitio para desayunar, comer o cenar. Venden pan, tienen bollería, pastelería, tostadas, batidos, helados, bocadillos, pizzas, hamburguesas, sándwich, ensaladas.. todo tiene muy buena pinta. El croissant de mantequilla y el crepe de chocolate muy bueno.

We went there for breakfast. It took forever to get the waiter’s attention. We watched another family arrive after us, being served, ate their breakfast, paid and left while the waiter still didn’t manage to take our order! They knew we were there as I waved and he gestured that we should wait. When another couple sat down next to us and they started serving them knowing we were still waiting, we got up and left. It looks as though they prefer lokal people rather than tourists. Well we won’t be returning to that place but we will be back to Calpe as we have been for many years and there are plenty of lovely places with FRIENDLY staff.

We visited this cafe as a family of 6 looking to have breakfast. The staff are so rude it’s shocking! They clearly aren’t in the business because they enjoy it and they obviously don’t want the business? Unbelievably rude and unwelcoming. After being ignored for a few minutes even though we’d been seen and stared at by the waitress, we started to put two tables together, she watched us do this with no hello, no gesture to help etc. We sat down and said hello to her to which she sternly snapped back a hello. If looks could kill! Very strange way to run a business. We decided to leave and won’t return as there are so many other lovely places to eat in Calpe.

Pedimos una tarta de manzana que estaba en la vitrina y el chico que estaba atendiendo, que era muy amable, no dijo que no podía ser porque aún estaba congelada. Pedimos en vez una de queso. Los precios no están puestos en ningún sitio, pero 4 euros por una porción pequeña de tarta de queso congelada me parece un poco fuera de escala ... Cobran 20 cts por el hielo (1 cubito). Tampoco te lo advierten. El palo de moka que pedimos estaba totalmente seco y sin sabor en la crema. Cuando estábamos allí entró una familia a reservar una tarta de muerte por chocolate para el día siguiente y les dijeron que sólo tenían 1 y ya estaba cortada en porciones.
