"I am in Lucca for an extended stay, and feel I've found my reliably favorite cafe in Caffe Manon Lescaut. The setting, service, food and drinks have all earned cinque stelle every time I've visited, and the companions I've invited with me agree. Try anything on the menu with confidence, but I enjoy the arugula, mango and chicken salad. Another reviewer remarked that their Aperol Spritz at Caffe Manon Lescaut was perfectly mixed, and I agree. On another occasion, the very professional server Marco suggested a wine-by-the-glass for lunchtime (it was great), and he is always happy to chat a bit about Lucca, supporting my efforts to learn and speak Italian. Please visit this lovely spot; you'll have a wonderful experience."

I love this cafe .. it’s always great. The girls are lovely always a smile and wave even if I’m walking past. Food is incredible especially the Gorgonzola crostini with honey and Prosciutto.. The square is always busy so great to sit and observe. It’s definitely worth the visit .

“Best breakfast in Lucca “ we were advised we watched our two large glasses of freshly squeezed orange juice being prepared , delicious . The Eggs Royale and French toast that followed were equally so mine : perfectly poached eggs with smoked salmon and hollandaise sauce on an English muffin my daughter’s French toast with fresh fruit and maple syrup. The coffees that followed were equally good the staff friendly and attentive . A great breakfast experience surrounded by breakfast regulars who are lucky enough to have this gem on their doorstep! A great American breakfast, even better than any breakfast I've had in the US! The freshest ingredients are the key. The portions are too large, but my husband was happy to finish my dishes. He loves the omelet, as he should, filled with the generous portions of ham, cheese and mushrooms. The pancakes and french toast are as tasty as they are beautiful, covered with tasty fruit that you only get in Italy! My favorite is the Mixed Fruit Yogurt Bowl with delicious fruit and yogurt along with homemade granola!! I hope your visit in Lucca gives you time to try them all!!!

Beautiful salad, service and setting. Just off one of the main squares, but still enough for people watching. Didn 't plan to have salad, but such a hot day. Had melon and ham to start, huge portions and delicious ham, nicest we 'd had. All 3 of us had salads of various types, also huge and so tasty! Would thoroughly recommend coming here for a relaxing 'lighter ' meal, makes a change from pasta and pizza, although I 'm sure they serve them too. Great English from our waiter and attentive too. There are so many places to eat in Lucca, but this feels just a bit different and special without being over priced or stuffy.
