"Came today with my family and well utterly disappointed. We paid a fair amount for food and milkshakes and well the milkshakes were absolutely disgusting. The food was average. The state of the place too was vile. Tables were more sticky than a night clubs floor. I can fairly say we will not be returning, I would have much preferred a meal at McDonald’s so yeah there’s my honest review. Think the owners need a serious re think or maybe close the place down."

Cosy, friendly and great food, this is one of our favourite places to eat and drink in Plymouth, staff are always friendly and keen to help, we will certainly be going there many more times

There are plenty of drink and food options to choose from at this restaurant. The service could be better and the food is just okay. It's a dog-friendly establishment located in a fairly central area. View menu

Food was overpriced and mediocre at best with very cheap produce. The whole place smelled bad and the tables , carpets and decor was filthy dirty . My second and last visit there . I felt unclean upon leaving .

Absolutely fuming with the caffeine club!. We booked a table for 11 people for my sons 18th for new years eve about 3 weeks in advance. We turn up this evening and they're not even open! Thanks for ruining his 18th birthday you f@cking muppets, nowhere is going to have space for us on new years eve now. View menu

I sat by the fire with a coffee, hoping to order breakfast or cake but there were no vegan options available. The staff were friendly and the music was great. It had been a few years since my last visit and I noticed that the place had been extended, but it looked tired and in need of a thorough cleaning.

"Visited on a busy Saturday evening. General impression is the restaurant is clean, well presented and evidently well liked for how many people were in the small dining area. A little noisy, particularly in the confined space beside the kitchen, when seated close beside a louder table. As the evening progressed, we felt quite cold not sure if the heating was on? Service from the staff was outstanding, very friendly, polite, attentive, but food was slow to arrive. We were a little perplexed by having the appetiser on the table before our starter/main order had been taken, so having to work around still having the menus. The smoked butter was very strong my partner liked it, it was too much for me. Both fish starters were good, with the mackerel our favourite. The main courses were OK. The lamb was fine, but served with lamb fat root veg meant the whole plate was very similar flavoured, and the green beans/salsa verde felt like an afterthought. The skate wing was nice, and the crispy capers were a new and pleasant experience. The desserts rescued the food for me the creme brulée was outstanding, and the chocolate special was very good, with exception of a slightly chewy meringue. I feel I'm being picky with my criticisms, but fig tree is definitely priced higher than other more standard fare restaurants in Plymouth where we have also had very good food."
