"We have been dining at Calcutta 16 since it first opened. The food has consistently been exceptional, and we can't understand why there are negative reviews. During our recent visit a few weeks ago, both the food and service were excellent as always. We have even dined there on Christmas and Boxing Day when they offer a set menu with plenty of choices, and they have never had a problem accommodating our large group of 10-12. In addition to the usual dishes, they also have some delicious chef's specials that we have never seen elsewhere. Our family favorites are the Naga Revenge and Kurchan."

Nice restaurant with very good food. The rice was delicious. The downside was they close at 2pm and we were made to feel uncomfortable when we stayed beyond two o’clock

The food at this restaurant is incredible – fresh, flavorful, and not oily! The service was excellent, with staff willing to accommodate individual tastes by swapping items on the menu.

Have been going to Calcutta 16 for years for both takeaway and eat in. It used to be lovely, but at some point they’ve changed the chicken and the quality is awful. Now has a rubbery chewy texture. Please sort it out Calcutta we want to be able to come back! View menu

Takeaway dinner, just lovely Lots of choices and new dishes to try, we had a chicken kashmiri, which was very flavourful and fruity with lychees. Lamb methi and lamb chattinadu were superb Lots of different sides and starters. Recommend the special set menu deal.

I do not recommend ordering from Calcutra tonight as my recent experience was terrible. The onion bhajis were definitely not fresh, the food arrived cold, and the raita was the worst I have ever tasted. I wish you luck if you choose to order from them. Our local seagulls may have better or worse luck tonight. I am a very dissatisfied customer.
