"Me and my boyfriend were quite hungry so sat down at this place as it looked casual enough to wear trainers at and the price wasn't too bad - maybe that should have been a sign! As soon as we sat down, one of the male waiters took down an umbrella just behind us, which nearly hit my boyfriend in the head. The food came fairly quickly, though at first the waitress forgot to bring out our garlic bread we ordered. I had a tomato and basil penne pasta which was quite nice and boyfriend had the cabonara which was very poor. As soon as my boyfriend finished eating (within seconds), the male waitor from before tried to take his plate (despite the fact that I was still eating) - personally I find this very strange and a bit rude. We asked for the bill but took our time to pay it which lead them to be a bit pushy with it as if they wanted us to leave.Another strange thing was that the 'managerial figure' (you wouldn't be able to tell this from his tshirt and shorts) was showing something on his phone to other guest when they were in the middle of eating their food - very strange!"

Das Lokal liegt in der Altstadt. Essen war okay, aber nicht super. Bedienung eher unfreundlich.

My family and I ran across this place while walking around Vienna. We tried it because a) you cannot go wrong with Italian, and b) it was raining! I'm so glad we ate here. I had the spaghetti bolognese (had a craving). It was good! However, my brother had the Carbonara and wow was it delicious. Probably the best carbonara I have ever tasted. Great atmosphere, fun waiter. As some of the other reviews say, make sure you check the bill. Well, that's just good practice anyway, right?

Can't say enough good about La Norma. My wife and I wandered in one afternoon recently after spending the day exploring old Vienna. We had passed many restaurants and considered many menus, but I was in the mood for Italian food after a solid week of trying the local cuisine. Saw this place and decided to take a chance, not knowing anything about it. Couldn't be happier! We had an excellent meal that rivaled any Italian food I've had anywhere and the price was very reasonable. We really wanted to go back again, but circumstances did not allow for it. We do plan to make it a stop next time we are in Vienna, for sure. Friendly staff, good food, and a quiet, intimate atmosphere were exactly wha...
