Treated ourselves to a Saturday night takeaway, ordered our food over the phone and it was ready within 40 minutes. Ordered the meal for 2, (A2) which would have fed three, food was piping hot, very tasty and plentiful. Beef in black bean sauce was spicy but not overpowering. Staff very friendly and helpful. Shop very clean and food was reasonably priced.

We ordered takeout from this restaurant last Tuesday without checking the food rating beforehand. Unfortunately, the rating was only a 1. As a result, my daughter ended up in the hospital and my grandson also got seriously ill. Even though we are now back home from our holiday, they are still experiencing the effects. I ordered my food at 4:45 pm and it was ready by 5:00 pm, which led me to believe that some of the dishes were reheated. The half duck priced at £16.50 was very disappointing - the duck thigh was burnt and had very little meat on it. The spare ribs were swimming in juice, and the chow mein had more noodles than meat or vegetables. I will not be returning to this restaurant.

We placed our order over the phone for two portions of Salt and Pepper King Prawns, Mushroom Foo Yung, and Roast Pork fried rice as we really enjoy this dish. When we arrived at the restaurant 10 minutes later, our order was already waiting for us. The Salt and Pepper King Prawns were the standout dish, with a delightful crispy texture and just the right amount of spice. Delicious!

This is the first time we've had food from this takeaway. We were a bit unsure after reading some of the older reviews, but so glad we did! The food was not greasy, very tasty and still piping hot when we got home (a 10 minute drive away). We are foodies and only give good reviews that really deserve it too. However we will definately be returning, after a few years of searching for a decent Chinese takeaway, fingers crossed that we've found it. I will update after second visit. Well done Cantonese Wok!
