"We had picked this place up from Lonely Planet and it was time for some Italian. Capri opened in and is famous as Germany's oldest Italian restaurant and for its pizza. It was a beautiful warm night so we sat outside and enjoyed the...atmosphere. After we ordered the waitress asked if we would like to see the Blue Grotto, I thought she was kidding. But no, inside we go and down the stairs to the basement and there is a full replica room of Capri's Blue Grotto. It's the room they use when the weather is not so kind. Now that's something different. We decided to go with the fresh pasta while most of the other guests were having pizza. Great food, friendly service,a lovely Pinot Grigio and local beer- it was a good casual night. When you look at where the restaurant is located I can tell you we tuned the walk from the old bridge at minutes- slowly so it's easy to get to on foot and recommend you book. Ask to see the Grotto."

I went less than a week ago and it was quite busy. I ordered lasagne and was surprised when eating it to discover it had peas and ham in it. The whole experience from start to finish was just awful.

This is the oldest pizzeria in Germany. We eat here several times every visit to Wuerzburg. The calzone is my favorite. There is nothing like sitting out under the umbrella with friends and family and enjoying a wonderful pizza.

Down a unlit narrow alley, is Capri Blaeu Grotte. In the dark it looks uninviting, but we tried it anyway. We were very pleased with the great Italian style pizza. We each had a small size pizza. They are the very thin crust, like you...get in Italy. If you are away from home and missing your favorite pizza, you should try this place.

It is seldom to find a restaurant with the best atmosphere, best food and best price all in one but in the Capri Blaue Grotte you'll find them all. Been coming back to Würzburg since years but this was the first time I came...to the oldest Pizzeria in town and I'm glad I did. The blue lighted room in a nicely decorated underground dining area has a special flair that one has to experience it. View menu

The most important way forward. It just tastes delicious! Everything is done right here. There is everything the Italian heart desires. Portion sizes are lush, the price is low. The ambience at the bottom of the blue grotto is unique (and wanted kitschig). Upstairs how to expect the good Italian. Those who like Italian food will love Capri Blaue Grotte Würzburg. Very clear recommendation: go for food!

On the National road in Debring. We were on our return from Finland, driving relaxed and then there it was. Plenty cars on the parking, so this should be good. We stopped and had a meal, and YES it was very good. Later turned out...that the price was also very good, mean not expensive. This was then the reason for the loaded restaurant and parking plce. We certainly will stop there again. So from us to BLAUE GROTTE, keep doing what you are doing now. Till next time. Mr. Alexander Bunschoten, Estepona /Marbella, Spain.
