"came here for dinner with my partner and it was exactly what we needed after a long day of shopping and the sight. Our server Sophia was beautiful and could not ask for a better host. Super friendly and knew the menu inside and outside when I had questions. For beginners I had the BBQ wings and my partner had the flowering onion, both were made perfect. For the net I had the Captain America Cheeseburger and my partner had the dirty Hahnen chicken burger with cheese. Both were amazing and have you really in a good place, full, but not inflated. The quality was excellent and it was possible to say that everything was made fresh, I think the pommes were particularly good. All this was reasonable considering that we have the top and two drinks each and one side. Would highly recommend visiting and while many other reviews here complain about it not what it was earlier etc. I think with a few more memories on the walls and the music a little louder it is a great place to spend the evening. We will definitely come back in the future."

We've been here since the 70s. It has changed hands a few times and recently has a renovation, but still big burgers and cocktails

The restaurant had an American diner vibe that we enjoyed. The decor was fantastic. We tried two of their Captain America burgers and they were delicious. Overall, it was a fantastic experience!

visited for the first time since renovated very friendly welcome,gone are the cramped benches now separate tables and chairs plentiful place eating was nice we had the chili burger, chips are made as to house excellent will definitely return!

The best American food we've had since visiting the states. The mac cheese was perfectly cheesy, the bbq wings were crispy and the sauce was delicious, and the chili burger was awesome. Great friendly service too, will be going back when we visit Norwich again

Trip into Norwich and had to go back to Captain A's. Last came in 2019 but we have been before that. This time didn't disappoint. Service was really good, food great (very filling BLT) and milkshake was brilliant. Yes,decor has changed but still holds some original charm. Will be back!

I haven't been here for a long time, and I've almost been deducted from some reviews. I'm glad I came. Yes, the decor is different, but the food remains very good and the pommes were especially good. Service was good, they were happy to go to great lengths to accommodate Diners. It's not cheap, but quality shouldn't be. If you liked this restaurant in its heyday, it is still worth a visit.
