Had a lovely full English breakfast. Delicious sausages and bacon. Staff were friendly and efficient. Would highly recommend!

This addresses need for people who want a basic meal with no frills. It's not pretentious and the waiting staff are well trained

I would highly recommend this restaurant in Bexhill, lovely food, friendly staff and the best omelette in town! Also the steak sandwich was amazing, we will definitely be returning.

Hired Cavells to hold a 60th birthday lunch here earlier this month. All who attended said how much they enjoyed the food and service. Gina, Danielle and the rest of the team were very attentive.

Visited on a Saturday lunchtime, quite busy but still a few tables available. Had to wait 15 minutes before anyone came over to take order. Drinks arrived quickly but it took another 40 minutes before main lunch arrived. Sausages and mash. Sausages delicious but veg was cold and cauliflower still frozen. Mash potato was luke warm and onion gravy had no onion and again was luke warm. In hindsight should have said something but staff were so busy it was difficult to get their attention.

We used to go to Cavells whenever we visited Bexhill and this was our first time since moving to their next place. We loved the new look and the atmosphere as we entered. Someone promptly asked what we would like to drink which was fulfilled quite quickly. We then decided to order some food. Despite me husband raising his hand calling out 4 times to staff as they went past to get service, none was forthcoming. We ended up finishing our drink and going elsewhere for food. We left very disappointed and feeling that the facelift came at the cost the service that we used to get. Such a shame and won't be in a hurry to return.

It used to be our tradition to go to Cavells every Saturday for breakfast. We loved the charm of the old style cafe and the food was delicious and plentiful. Today was my first visit back to Cavells since it moved to the old Trattoria restaurant and what a huge disappointment. The vibe the old cafe used to have no longer exists and it gives you no reason to want to linger for more coffee or cake. The portion sizes have decreased but the prices have gone up which sadly is not justified by the quality of food which is barely average. There are much better cafes in town that warrant spending time and money in and I will be frequenting these ones in future.
