"Well where do we start? Booked in for a table of 6 of us, after eating here last year and having a great meal. Thought we would come back and so glad we did. All of us pondered the menu with interest, deciding on starters although not packed it was extremely well thought out, with something there for everyone. Same with the main courses. As in Cornwall, I thought I would order seafood, as it is very good here, and so fresh. I ordered the Calamari to start with, and it did not disappoint, then the Cornish Hake for main and I can assure you, if you are in any doubt as to what to order here at this friendly restaurant, I urge you to try the Cornish Hake this sumptuous main dish, was packed with the freshness of an ocean sea spray, balanced perfectly with peas and delicately seasoned potatoes all brought together with a Salsa Verdi crust on the Hake, that topped it off like a crown a King of dinners, and one that I shall definitely return to this restaurant for. (have booked in on Friday before we return home)"

This place was amazing, lovely setting and exceptional fish. Would really recommend this place, the only thing we found was that we felt a bit rushed to be in and out within an hour, when we had ordered a bottle of wine, towards the end of the meal we felt we had to drink it quickly to free up the table. Staff were so friendly and we loved it!

Cosy, quiet restaurant with excellent service and great food, fish, meat, vegetarian and vegan options, happy to make changes to the vegetarian options to make them vegan. Great place for evening meal (no views), very popular so recommend booking, they were very helpful when adding 3 people to my booking at the last minute. One of my favourite restaurants in St Ives

A very enjoyable dining experience. I was seated next to the window looking out onto the harbour; for me it was the best seat in the house. The food was delicious, starter was bread with olive oil and balsamic vinegar dip and my main was butternut squash tagine with lime infused cous cous. Drink a delicious Cornish 75. Excellent service. Thank you for a lovely vegan meal.

delicious food and relaxed atmosphere. visited after a windy day on the beach, so to come to a beautiful warm environment was simply wonderful. I had seen the recruited who is their underwriting court. you can see why! just so delicious; fish flocky, pure smooth and tasty. I just wish I would approach to visit more regularly! we paired this with a bottle of sauvignon marlborough that has finished it perfectly!

4 of us went to the cellar bistro for an evening meal during our holiday to st. ives and it was definitiw a highlight. the food was beautiful (should recommend the hummus and the ciabatta starter and the dayin for the main) and the service was friendly, efficient and extremely professional. the atmosphere was beautiful. I was particularly pleased that they had prepared vegan specialties, if vegan guests (like me) are not fancy the option that was on the menu, this kind of thoughtfulness is a rare and truly outstanding. would recommend a better evening.

One of the best meals we've had in a while. The food was amazing and the service was top notch. I can see why this restaurant is so highly rated in the area. We had 3 courses which can be seen in the photos. The portion sizes were good and the price was reasonable for the food quality you were getting. If you want a really cheap night out then this is not for you, you definitely get what you pay for here. The restaurant is tucked away and can be difficult to find unless you knows its there. There is a nice ambience inside and I would definitely return if coming back to St Ives

"So let us share our experience, We went in tonight as a family after seeing that it home made food on the drive to sennen and looked online and had a good look at the food available on the menu also looking to see if it was dog friendly and it ticked all the boxes, Upon arrival me and my wife went in 1st to ask if we could have a table for food and if dogs can go inside and staff were a little unsure but they confirmed we could upon asking for a table for 7 but one in a pram he said we don’t have the availability to cater I was looking at a table big enough and eventually said that this table was available whilst being seated we had 2 table one clean and the 2nd just been finished with so needed a clean but he came and cleaned both tables and he squirted the cleaner on a clean table and the over spray bounced off the table and went over our selfs then we were handed a menu freshly printed A4 paper thrown on the table (WET TABLE) so they stuck to the table upon agreeing what we wanted we went to the bar within 2-3 mins of being seated we knew what we wanted and when we asked for the meal it was OUT OF STOCK (Sunday lunch) ok fair so as I was with a family member at the bar I quickly rushed back to the table to ask my daughter of an alternative she wasn’t happy, So I made a meal up of all the extras on the menu so I went back to the bar to find my family member ordered 2 fish and chips then I realised my wife also wanted Sunday lunch so I quickly rushed back to ask her what she wanted and went back to the bar just as my family member left and asked for fish and chips was also sold out also! 99% of the menu was SOLD OUT this should of been discussed upon arrival not as we were ordering I run and operate my own business and this isn’t how I would treat my customers this isn’t how an establishment should be ran! Even when I was standing trying to order a member of staff was standing there arm against the wall doing nothing while customers are standing waiting to be served! So we decided not to eat and my family member went back to the bar to ask for a refund as we couldn’t eat as a family and the staff were iffy about offering a refund but 10 minutes later they did refund my family member as it became a scene for other people as they could see what had happened! This establishment should be call the 1st and late time you come here! We ended up walking to the chip shop down the road for food we are very disappointed in this company and establishment! For anyone who wants to eat please make sure they HAVE STOCK how can this establishment run without stock? Never again tonight they lost over £200 revenue due to this situation!"
