"Eric Lasaille took over the panoramic hotel that had come in the years. The former Hunterhäusle had survived the long decline of the hotel somewhat, but the renovation shop had also arrived in guest rooms and kitchen. Chez Eric is a fresh (French wind). The ubiquitous patron welcomes every guest personally and advises on the selection. The guest rooms are not yet fully ventilated for my taste, but the charm of the early eighties is designed with the train. As the weather allows, it attracts me and all the others under 90 years to the spacious panoramic terrace the real jewel of this location! From here you can enjoy a unique view over Rheintal, Kaiserstuhl and Freiburg, in clear weather far into Alsace. It is possible to enjoy the changing weather during the meal, due to the terrace plant, a rain shower can also sit dry. Beautiful sunsets (which want to go to Key West?, thunderstorms above the Kaiserstuhl, snowy vosges, the distractions from the services of the kitchen are massive. But they should be considered here. Mr Lassaille buys fish and oysters in France according to his own requirements. Asterix readers know the best fish from Paris, Freiburg's Rentalnix proves to be impressive. The chateaubriand for two people was finally within reach and exceeded all expectations! In addition, a homemade sauce beernaise in exactly the right all-saure note and classic rosemary salads. Have not eaten any better Chateaubriand yet and there are some cattle... The wine map is extensive and well sorted with a regional and (expected South French focus). Here too, despite perhaps implicit preferences, one should use the quality of advice, it is worth it! The service is very attentive and professional from the first moment. This really very good overall performance has its price, but it is worth it!"

We would like to share the 5 star reviews. Unfortunately, on the 10th of June the boss was not in the kitchen, that was tasted. We've eaten much better here. Too bad, our occasion would have deserved it. Service as always attentive. Beautiful table with magnificent views

Bonne table mais sans plus, c'est un peu trop guindé pour une cuisine qui est bonne mais sans plus.Les huîtres sont très succulentes, très appréciables avec un verre de vin blanc.Les plats que nous avions choisis étaient plutôt moyens, le poisson était trop cuit, et la choucroute de la mer (je dirais une paella de la mer) fade et baignant dans son jus.Serveurs jeunes, professionnels. Das Mercure Panorama Hotel ist sehr hoch oben auf einem Berg gelegen.Sehr schöne Zimmer mit grossem Balkon und vielen Blumen bestückt.Man hat vom balkon eine wunderbaren Ausblick über ganz Freiburg und Teile vom Schwarzwald. man kann im Restaurant oder auf der Terasse essen. das Personal ist sehr zuvorkommend und hilfsbereit. Das Essen ist absulut perfekt und es hat eine grosse Auswhl an Gerichten. Und weil ich ACCOR Mitglied bin ist es für mich auch noch sehr günstig.

Wir sind schon sehr oft im Chez Eric gewesen, z.b zum Frühstück, Mittagessen und Abendessen.Wir gehen gerne zum Abendessen hin, da das Ambiente einfach sehr schön und angenehm ist, und das Essen wunderbar ist.Diesmal haben wir den Geburtstag von meinem Vater dort gefeiert.Angefangen von der Qualität der Speisen, dem Geschmack, bis hin zur Präsentation stimmt hier einfach alles.Der Besitzer war bisher jedesmal präsent, wenn wir dort zum Essen waren und erkundigt sich persönlich nach dem Wohlergehen und scheut auch nicht Tische abzuräumen und zu servieren.Die vegetarischen Gerichte sind jedesmal ein Traum und alles ist frisch, und selbstgemacht. Da ich eine Unverträglichkeite habe reagiere ich...
