"I have been coming to chez marianne since 1984 when the marais was still the pletzl and great Jewish food was still abundant. in the run of the years one after the other of the restaurants was drowned on or only outside the rue des rosiers in the massive waves of gentrification, but chez marianne is still strong. eating is excellent, but perhaps not the best of the best, and the place evocative. read the plaque at the wall of the school next door via their Jewish students delivered to the death camp. it is impossible not to be moved by the history of neighboring, although Bobo shops are now very overpaid shops catering for the constantly fluctuating Jewish population. updated by previous review on 2022-09-05"

This is definitely one of my favorite falafel places in Paris.

really enjoyed the assiette Chouk-chouk and the chez marianne cheesecake!

not such a large vegan menu, but it is worth getting on the way for the falafel!

Classy Marais At Its Best! They do a falafel sandwich here that is what dreams are made of and the lines are there to prove it. View menu

The only reason we even ended up at this horrendous restaurant was because our falafel spot around the corner was closed on Fridays & Saturdays.

they can choose either a plate or a combination of escapes; I did that with my friend, the falafels were good, but other food (like the aubergins or the paprika) were quietly heavy. there were also acids all night. the place is very nicely furnished.

I was notified by a waiter that the falafels contained milk. I was confused and asked for verification. I never got the answer and had my plate with the replacement asked in case the falafels were actually not vegan. The food was okay but overpriced. (14€ for a 4 element plate) Service was mediocre. Would not recommend View menu

I like the falafel toppings (white and red cabbage, grilled aubergine.. and the portion is big, but there's very little actual falafel on the sandwich, you can only order falafels to go but not to eat in the restaurant and the service isn't great. Not bad if you feel like a falafel and at a reasonable price but that's about it.

Gorgeous restaurant in the Marais Paris. Specialising in traditional Jewish food.. The restaurant is in a gorgeous old building in the Jewish quarter. We ordered a mixed plate of five different dishes including mushrooms in tomato sauce, fried aubergines with tomatoes, aubergine caviar with tahini, aubergine caviar with garlic, houmous, freshly baked bread that was still hot with onion and falafel. Really generous portions, delicious and filling. We are outside as was beautiful weather and not too crowded. If you go on Sunday be prepared to queue as it’s really popular. Would thoroughly recommend going! Also like most places in Paris it’s also dog friendly
