"I discovered the place when passing by on the beach and checked the TA-review and reserved a table. The foodI am not too much of a seafood-person, so my review might be a bit biased. I had oysters as a starter. My spouse went for the seafood platter. As a main I went for a pork chop, which was a bit dull/flat. I do appreciate the restaurant is first and foremost focused on seafood, so maybe ordering pork wasn't an obvious choice. Anyway - once on the somewhat narrow menu at a pricey restaurant I did expect more of it. The service:Our waiter was too up-selling and always wanted us to buy more. We discussed going for the €30 seafood plate as a main, but he said it was too small. When we talked about sharing the €48 seafood platter (which my spouse ended up ordering) he said this was not enough for two people to share. However, there was more than enough for two people (maybe we eat less shellfish than the french? :-) ) The restaurant is right by the beach and from it you can enjoy the sunset. Very romantic. Next time I go I hope to be able to order 4 (and not a minimum of 6 oysters) and I hope the waiter will be less pushy."

To get a table suggest you make a reservation. Food was well prepared. Not sure good value as not enough attention given to customers. Busy place. Nice view. Can get noisy.

Very appropriate place for a quiet business lunch. Good food, service ok and fantastic view. I always regret the lack of professionalism with the service staff. Interns are great but permanent staff are not very helpful.

Very well situated on beach in center of Arcachon. Very large, busy restaurant and pretty loud. We had the fruits de mer with lobster. It was very good as was the crème brûlée. Bottle of white wine recommended by waiter was ok.

Ate here on our first night in Arcachon. Busy restaurant but service was good. Lots of choice on the menu. Great oysters and we shared the Cote de Boeuf which went down well with the red wine. Seemed a bit on the expensive side at first but have come to realise that prices are standard for eating out in Arcachon.

We booked a meal here during our recent stay in Arcachon. Staff a wee bit snippy, and on the night it took them nearly an hour to get oysters and foie gras out, which did not impress. But the service sharpened up after this, and the magret de canard was superb, as was the crème brûlée. Overall a good evening and some absolutely excellent food.

We ate at this restaurant only the once but would have returned again if time allowed. Although it is quite expensive the food and wine were excellent and the location is superb. We started with 4 little appetisers which were beautiful and then had oysters. For the main course we had monk fish and this was followed by a dessert and cheese. The service was very good.

This is a great place if you are looking for a restaurant in the centre of Arcachon. They are almost on the beach and have a great menu. This is a bit pricy but food is really excellent, and portions are big. The "menu du jour" is a safe option as they have many options and this is nicely cooked and presented. I have been there 2 times in a week and was always goodI can only recommend.

Visited this restaurant with 3 friends on recommendation but I was not impressed. We had booked a table and had to wait almost 30 min before we got our table. And when we finally were seated it took another 30 min before a waiter attended us...! The food was ok but I was not impressed. And it was quite expensive as well. The total experience was not worth the money. Consider another place next time.

My partner and I ate here with our two sons (aged 8 and 2) last week whilst visiting Arcachon. We hadn't reserved a table but arrived as the restaurant opened at 7pm, and were seated immediately. The restaurant quickly filled up so we were glad to have got there early. My French is rather rusty but everybody who approached our table spoke English, and we were given English menus. We all thoroughly enjoyed our food (the pork and the monkfish), as did the children (both had fish with fries, very well cooked). We shared the profiteroles for dessert, and we were glad we had only ordered one as they were massive! The bill was above average, but we were happy to pay extra for good quality food.The...
