"entering from chez Ton-Ton is like a step into another world! hidden in the vastest barnet is this charming French restaurant lovingly presented and supervised by a real French couple. we have enjoyed our experience as a whole, even if we may not have found the food anymore. you are. I don't know. I chose the duck fois gras served with coward. the Fois-Gras has a beautiful creamy taste and texture and the cowards delivered a sharp contrast without exaggerating the subtle deen taste. duck can be a strong and greasy meat, so this was an interesting idea. I liked the salat with a dress that chewed the whole dish well. my companion enjoyed a parsnip and soup, but despite the excellent aromen, she found this a little hard for a starter. the lammhaupt was very satisfying. the lamb, boiled with speck, was made perfect, not too dry or under. I like lamb and I like speck and I enjoyed the sturdy combination, but maybe she cums together the dish a little on the oily side. my preference for meat is crispy on the outside and served with brighter sauce or side. I enjoyed that the maic was mixed with crumbling. my friend is a vegetarian and decided to have a winter vig risotto, a similar dish as another French restaurant, previously checked but far superior. beautifully presented with a crisp salad. we have not decided for the gloomy without getting angry. the service was friendly, attentive and very authentic."

Exquisite service and wonderful food that will leave you wanting more despite the generous portions. I have been frequenting this restaurant for years and the standard has only risen. A homely atmosphere so more suited for intimate encounters than business meetings.

A little bit of true France in Barnet. The food here is excellent and like many restaurants during Covid they are doing the best they can. The menu has not been compromised and is as good as ever. It is not cheap but I still believe well worth the money. Staff are great and the owner and his wife are a great couple. View menu

My first time dining at this restaurant and it did not disappoint. The French menu was enticing, and the owners, Eric and Claudine, were incredibly welcoming. The food was outstanding and nothing was too much trouble. I regret not visiting sooner, as I live just two minutes away. My partner and I had a fantastic dinner last night and were impressed by the delicious food and warm hospitality. It was a perfect experience, and it is evident that Eric and Claudine are passionate about their craft. We will definitely be returning in the future.

probably more French than the French restaurants we visited this summer in Roquefort-les-Pins. the French thorny soup melts wonderfully, but was not as good as promised. the whole sea roast on the bone was delicious, as the accompanying sides. the house wine was one of the best I had for a long time and did not wish I had something else. the crepe was also excellent and liberal with brandy doused. it is not cheap, but it was a good value and the staff is very friendly and helpful. the only disappointment was that rene did not come out of the bar to sneak with yvette.

"I thought I should write a review for sofalino, 2 wonderful evenings spent there over the last month, once for my birthday meal with family, and then again a few nights to dinner with my sister. I've been here since its opening 5 years ago, and it's one of my favorite in north london. the food I had eaten at my birthday dinner was undoubtedly the finest food I had tasted since my vacation in italy in the last summer. after having enjoyed the soft, velvety brot and plump juicy oliven, I shared the antipasto for 2 with my sister for the starter and went for the cow mouse for the pornstar. the antipasto is fantastic; it contains prosciutto, salami, mortadella and breesaola for the cultivated meat, roasted aubergine, courgette and red paprika for the vege and is served on many rockets with circustomates, artichokes and black olives. but the absolute high points of the plate were the buffalo bocconcini, deep roasted valleyggio in the brothcrümeln and gorgonzola arancini. so many beautiful aromas to enjoy, and this is only in the starter! the kalbsmilanese was crooked and fritted to perfection, and was huge! my vater, mama and I decided to go with gorgonzola and spinat gnocchi, instead of the standard linguine napoletana, which to potentially one of the best main courses I have ever eaten outside italian. other dishes that are worth mentioning from this night are the pappardelle with venison and porcini mushrooms, and the gnocchi alla sorrentina. when it was my birthday, they had made me a stunning chocolate cake with fresh strawberries, which covered the meal nicely. for my meal last night I had the antipasto, of course, but this time the arancini even better was the last time she had saffron in, which is possibly my favorite last thing. I had the calzone for the main course, which was simply delicious with a lot of ham and mushroom filling and a nice teigy but crispy crust. I went to dessert the day for pudding, completely forget my clients quickly from no cake / sweet tasty things, but it was totally worth because my huuuge disc birne, mandel and ricota tart was from the top drawer; my sister had only one bit of the baked crust and she still talked about how incredible it was the next day! sofalino also has a very high quality wine list; the primitivo 'il pumo ' is a personal favorite of our, with its dark, smooth, laumen intense taste. at both of these locations the restaurant was full and flowering, and the personal friendly and attentive; just what they want from an Italian restaurant. without doubt, I will be back sooner than later."
