"TA highlighted Ciasa Mia as the best Italian restaurant in Paris so we decided to try it. As fully paid-up Italophiles we expected something on a par with the best restaurants that Italy has to offer. The interior is clearly intentionally rustic and I'm guessing...trying to recreate the atmosphere of a place in Northern Italy on the Swiss borders. The two servers, both ladies, were dressed in a uniform that seemed quite Alpine and they were super friendly and efficient full marks to them both. We opted for the tasting menu at euros, which we were informed was the chef's choice'. Immediately we were presented with our drinks and amuse bouches which were unusual flavours but very tasty. Before long the first course arrived thinly sliced venison served with a waffle and some truffle sauce. Perfectly acceptable ingredients but somewhat unusually brought together. Not the best starter we'd ever eaten. Next we were served an empty dish containing a spoon in which was a raw egg yolk with a dash of truffle oil on top. One gulp and it was gone. Not especially flavoursome or enjoyable. Then we were presented with a bowl of risoni pasta in a cheesy sauce the best and tastiest course so far but our enjoyment was rather spoiled by being told that the small red additions in the pasta were the gelatinous head crest or comb of a chicken. Next up was a slice of guinea fowl with vegetables that was served from under a dome where it had been in a cloud of smoke originating from a hay nest. for presentation but the flavour of smoke was so intensely overpowering that it was impossible to test the meat. Our dessert (for two) was a small sponge cake or muffin that we were encouraged to break in half and eat together in one bite. It was quite nice. Finally we had coffee (quite normal) and petit-fours that consisted of meringue with chilli sauce! Our assessment of this place is that the staff are superb. The decor is a little Spartan for our tastes but very much in keeping with a northern Italian/Alpine establishment. However the food is why people will come and this is where I have an issue. It's not badly cooked or presented its just weird and nothing like any Italian meal I've ever eaten. The chef is clearly on a mission to get noticed and may well be succeeding, but to claim this place is the best Italian in Paris is, for me, a huge stretch."

A outstanding restaurant! We arrived at this small but charming place expecting classic Italian food but to our surprise they had a small inventive menu.

We had the most amazing dinner here! The food was spectacular the amuse bouche were fantastic and the main courses were two of the best pasta dishes I’ve ever had. The wine list is wonderfully extensive to complete the meal. Best of all, though,...was the service. Francesca, the hostess/server extraordinaire, really made our evening with her warm, welcoming, and super sweet energy. Don’t miss out on this place if you’re in Paris you won’t be disappointed!

Tried calling to cancel a reservation and wasn’t able to get in contact. Then canceled online once I had internet the next day. They assessed the charge anyway. Tried to discuss and ask for a credit to come back this trip, but was denied. They...have plenty of tables open for booking…I didn’t stop them from hosting anyone. Rather rude and an obvious attempt to milk an America for money (heard them discussing in Italian what to do with me). Maybe it’s good, just don’t want to go now after that service. View menu

We wanted an Italian restaurant on the St Germaine area of Paris and found this place. I will admit, as the taxi pulled up down a quiet side street I was a little wary, even more so when we entered what seemed like someones house....From that point though, it was a delight. From the warmest welcome we received in Paris, including the ‘complimentary’ extras, to the most extensive wine menu we’ve ever seen, everything was lovely. There were of us, we had great food, great service and overall a fantastic night.

I must say that this is quite possibly the most adorable, cozy, quaint restaurant I have ever been to...it has a roaring fireplace, and wonderful, friendly staff and our family had a great time! I will say that it is VERY ADVENTUROUS in the food...department. Beautiful presentations, and very interesting flavors. I would say that it might not be for everyone, and it definitely isn't your everyday Italian restaurant, but that's why I loved it. My children (ages along with my husband had a tough time with it, but I was proud that they branched out and tried some new flavors. It's an expensive restaurant, but I would highly recommend it to fellow foodies!
