"This small but perfectly formed restaurant is a little bit out of town, (close to the Hotel Mas Saint Joseph) , we called in for a drink earlier in our holiday then went for dinner on our last evening. The greeting is warm and friendly by the very lovely hostess and her partner. The decor is perfect a little eclectic but the staff , food and wines are the stars here.To my eternal shame I do not know the names of the young lady and her partner who were excellent front of house, but also the young lady chef who deserves extra mention. I have eaten in most of the great restaurants in Saint Remy and also some exceptional ones in Paris but this young lady stands amongst those. I only had the main course and dessert but the wide range of "Tapas" entrees , all individual and unique look like a delight I missed. I had Carpaccio and my partner had the Entrecote, Carpaccio is a simple dish but done badly is a horror show. This was perfection, well dressed salad accompaniment with just the right amount of parmesan (I assume?) I loved every mouthful. My Wifes' Entrecote cooked "A Point" was perfect and succulent. But it was in the creativity of dessert that this lady shone. I had what could be described as deconstructed "cheesecake" but believe me that does not give the dish a true representation. The butter scotch /caramel sauce was unbelievably light , as was the cream , accompanied with softened apple on top of a cinnamon crushed crumb. Simply served in a glass, it was exquisite. My Partner had the red fruit "soup" which although perfectly simple was refreshing and delicious. The young lady , front of house was so well informed on wines she chose the perfect pairings. She was very helpful and gave me details of the music being played, (which was also a high point). This is simply a great restaurant, a real diamond. I wish its staff all the best they deserve it , theyve just got it right, in every way !"

Went here tonight with high hopes after reading good reviews. Basic menu, nothing creative, 5/10 Nothing more to say except "average" not a patch on "Le Marilyn"

We had dinner here as we were staying nearby and the terrace looked lovely for sitting out and eating. The menu was pretty standard. We had friendly service and the steak and chips was delicious.

Fantastic service, great food and wine. Very knowledgeable with wines and genuinely interested. We were poor speaking French tourists, struggling with communication. This restaurant was so welcoming and accomodating. A breath of fresh air.

After a day of traveling and being very hungry and thirsty we more or less 'stumbled' over this one. We had a few very good wines and the food we ordered was good as well. Hanging outside on a comfortable couch made this a very welcoming and agreeable 'wine bar' (but more than that) for us. View menu

The hosts of this wine bar restaurant were very helpful and went out of their way to make this an exceptional experience. They know their wine and pair this with beautifully cooked local high quality produce. One of our highlights in our tour of the south of France. Would highly recommend this place.

We enjoyed a great meal out on their terrace our first night in St Remy. The service was amazing- the man and woman who own it really do it all. She selected amazing wines for us to try and helped with our selections. We had a fabulous time. It's a little out of the main part of time bus easy enough to get to. We had a cheese plate to share, a burger and a steak and had no complaints. It was a great meal! Loved our experience!

This place is simple yet perfect. The terrace doesn't have beautiful views but it is nicely decorated. The menu is limited but the items on there are presented in an honest way. I had the ribeye and it was delicious. Accompanied by nothing more than fries and a green salad. Just perfect. More would be overdoing it. Service is super genuine, just enough, not too much. These guys have the concept down to the T. Congrats and thank you for a genuinely nice restaurant experience. View menu

We found this lovely wine bar thanks to Tripadvisor reviews. As others have said it looks closed from the roadside but in fact it is busy and welcoming inside. The sevice was exceptional. There is a wide range of wines by the glass or bottle. I had pork cheek with rice and salad, my wife choosing slow cooked beef with home made chips and salad - both meals were excellent. They do half a dozen other main meals as well as a menu of the day. There are also meat and cheese sharing platters.Warmly recommended.

My wife and I ate [and drank] here as a change of pace from having had too many large and rich meals during our first week of travel. We shared a very large mixed specialty cheese plate and a carpaccio plate, accompanied by a nice bottle of rose. The atmosphere is terrific with friendly staff and a mix of locals and tourists. Being located just a bit out of town helps the restaurant be a bit out of the pure tourist area.We thoroughly enjoyed our evening and can highly recommend Comptoir 36. A big thank you to the owners for a wonderful evening!
