After a day out in Fowey called for a drink on way back to Bude Ended up having Fish n chips n mushy peas Excellent food and service Covid safe procedures Great location with outside seating area Highly recommend

Had a lovely leek and cheese tart with new potatoes and salad with our dog. The pub owner very kindly moved us to a table with a view when one became available. Must have read my mind and it was perfect. Thank you, we are...local and will return.

Despite being hit by Storm Franklin, we were greeted warmly and with a friendly reception at the restaurant. I particularly enjoyed the decor and atmosphere of the establishment, as well as the delicious coffee. We will definitely be back when passing through again. View menu

I'm sorry I had to scratch the bowl. I will feel it tonight, eating normal, I thought, but no. eating normal made special. we were here outside the season in winter and had good seasonal food, great seasoning choice; So I had to go. do not look at old reviews as it is a new team

Ate here times during our week away in N Cornwall. Excellent every time. Would go back in a flash. They even rescued our Birthday celebration meal after the restaurant we had booked cancelled on the day. out of folks. Especially liked the...braised beef and the sticky toffee pud.

We dined at this restaurant two nights in a row because the food, location, and service were all excellent! The bar and wait staff were very friendly and even accommodated us by seating us next to the cozy fireplace, which made our windy evening much more enjoyable. We hadn’t booked but they were able to accommodate us so glad as our meal was so delicious! I had the shepherds pie and I’ve never has it the way they cook it there was no mince meat it was Succulent pieces of lamb which...just melted in your mouth and was so flavoured my partner had a burger and even that was delicious our son had a childrens meal and the chicken strips were so big and juicy not dry all food was homemade we had a lovely time and one of the best meals we’ve had in a very long time!

The Food was very good. You can't really fault it. Fresh greens, served with perfect meat dishes and excellent battered fish. However...... The service lacked the professional touch you expect when your paying what I'd call just over average prices for the meals . The...Bar staff /waiter/ess were polite, but when it came to bringing your food it was simply slapped in front of you with NO question of would we like any sauces /have we got everything we needed. We weren't even asked when our plates were cleared if we wanted desserts, they simply walked off. For that reason I have given stars. You can't have great food ,but poor service, it just doesn't work!! Sorry

From the very start it was a pleasant experience with The Coombe Barton Inn. We made the reservation via email and we received quick, efficient and professional replies from staff, which made the booking process easy. We were greeted by friendly staff on arrival, and...promptly shown to our seat. I felt we were situated in a great place, we were not too close to any other table, but not excluded by ourselves. The restaurant is decorated lovely with fairy lights, and has kept the cosy traditional feel of an English pub/restaurant. Not forgetting the exceptional sea views.
