"The Crêperie Morel (Ty Krampouz) is an institution in Paimpol. It has been there for decades. In the evening, it opens at 19:00 and gets quickly full of customers, so it is probably better to book your table in advance. That said, you might want to consider other options. Quick service certainly is a plus, but you go there to enjoy great crêpes, right? After all, this is Brittany. And this precisely is the problem.I started with a Paimpolaise-onions (i.e a Complète tomatoes onions.) All the ingredients were there. But this is all I can say. Then I had a crêpe stuffed with apples and topped with Calvados (flambée): that one was really disappointing. If you cannot find butter in a crêpe, then it is not a crêpe. You should not have to ask for it. It is a prime component. Absolutely compulsory. YOU ARE IN BRITTANY, FOR GOD’S SAKE!I have been to Morel many times in more than fifty years. I kept going even after quality started to deteriorate. But this time was the last time.In addition, when you are still waiting for someone to take your order and the boss comes and tells you that you’d better be gone in an hour because he is expecting other customers, you start thinking that you shouldn’t be there at all. There are other places where crêpes are minute-made, crafted with love and plenty of Breton butter. Just go there and forget about Morel."

Galette is the choice. It's a must and they do it so well. You can have it with so many combinaison of garniture. A cup of cider is the complement.

The owner should have another job: not helpful, not friendly. Hopefully the cook is good. Most likely if the owner treats the employees as he treats the clients, soon it will be over. Too sad after decades of good service.

Having visited on the off chance whilst walking round the town we were pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food and service so much so we went back the following day. Despite being a Creperie they do serve other meals, the Moules and salads were good value for money. Will return there on our next visit to Paimpol.

I went here for lunch my first day in Paimpol and it was so good, I went back a few days later right before I caught the train back to Paris. I had crepes both times, both delicious. My partner had crepes the first time and the fish of the day the second time, also good. A great way to spend a sunny afternoon, on their patio, eating authentic Breton galettes!

Staying in Paimpol over a weekend we ate at this restuarant 2 nights running and was made welcome on both ocassions. Good service by smiling staff from a good local menu. 'Mussels and frites' were superb and filling and the fish soup excellent. Great house wine from Samur by the pitcher. Crepes galore and many fillings are available and no rush to finish. Clean, tidy and welcoming. Felt full and complete on each ocassion and a good choice on both ocassion.

We enjoyed a very pleasant sunny evening outside. Very attentive waiter and everything arrived in good time. Don't order the lamb chops "a point" because they arrived "trop cuits." However if you were a mixed group like us, some wanting meat, some fish (only mussels available Monday as no fishing Sunday) you will be satisfied. We didn't even have a crepe. However, don't visit the toilets. Only one downstairs, smelly and not a good advertisement for the venue. Clean loo = clean kitchen, please note.

We came because our 7-year old guide book suggested it and we were right to do so! Buttery crepes were enjoyed all around by young and all. I loved the Florentine crepe with spinach and real bacon on top. This type of meal isn't for eating light but it is good for eating typical Brittany fare. The cider was very good and my husband enjoyed an organic local beer. The servers are used to kids and quickly brought plastic cups and extra plates which helps mom and dad relax a bit more and enjoy their meal. :-)

Called here for our Saturday lunch on spec and were not disappointed. The staff were welcoming and friendly. There is a varied menu of crêpes and main courses. My wife had the St Jacques and I had a lovely sardine galette au blé noir, both local specialities and both perfectly cooked and delicious with a fresh green salad. My wife couldn't resist the dessert of the day - a lovely apple crumble with ice cream and chantilly, whereas I had the cheese plate, three cheeses, one goats, two soft, all delicious, again served with a generous green salad and plenty of lovely bread. If you are in Paimpol I would definitely recommend eating here!

Last visited here 2 years ago with family and 3 local friends plus their dog (dog friendly) we sat upstairs on that occasion and all meals were great. Went again on a Thursday night at 8.15pm when it was a lot quite maybe 3 other couples in. My sister Cath and brother's girlfriend Sue had crepes with ham mushroom cheese and bechemal sauce, and brother had the beef and I had lamb chops of which there were 4 accompanied by very nice green beans, and salad and fries. We had the usual yummy bread and butter to accompany it. After a 10 minute break Cath had a chocolate crepe with chantilly cream, David went for the almond and honey crepe and I had the coconut ice-cream with chocolate sauce and ch...

"A thousand thanks to his husband and his team. A favor! we spent 6 nights in 1/2 board in the upper room with sea view. price challenging all competitions for such beautiful proposals. beautiful family-run hotel, located in a relaxing place, close to the small port and hiking trails; a small paimpol road, cyclical overheating, rocky coasts or wonderful cities. the common rooms are beautifully decorated in blue grey, without excessive overload. our room decorated simply, comfortable and very clean – spacious bathroom with bathtub but also bathrobe and slippers! the first contact on the phone the desire to get there. throughout our stay, the very friendly, attentive, warm, in small care, good advice for the discovery of the region – meteo obliges in March! all staff are in their image, friendly and effective. for restoration, we trusted the daily half board proposals. short and wine dishes, which is a good sign. simple but refined cuisine, well represented dishes, fresh products according to the market of the day. so every day a new proposal from the entrance to the dessert. essentially the fish and seafood for us (langoustines, hairdressing shells, bar, etc. to the perfect and wonderfully cooked kitchen.) we have just been filled! and then the buffet breakfast: copious, offering salt-sucrea. with delicious hot pancakes made by the boss!
