"Visited in couple for dinner as we were looking for a traditional, no frills trattoria in Genoa city centre. To step into this place is to travel back to the 70 's in every way, which partially accounts for the 4 out of 5 stars (I personally can 't stand wannabe trattorias or Michelin star osterie . This is a TRUE TRATTORIA in a port town, family run I suppose. It 's the kind of place you can find groups of hungry fishermen, sailors (or prostitues eagerly eating their lunch or dinner. We ordered pesto gnocchi, risotto pescatore, mixed grilled fishes: everything from start to finish was TASTY and can 't really fault the food in any way. Hygiene conditions on the other hand are not ideal (same as in most budget fish bars in London I would say : cutlery and dishes were half GREASY, sticky floors and a glimpse at the kitchen floor/worktops didn 't really help my appetite either. I would advise against dining here if you are kind of sensible in this respect. Otherwise go ahead, you will not regret it and your wallet won 't really notice: 24€ including service, wine and water."
